For the best in 🇯🇲 Jamaican foods. I drove almost 90 miles just for a taste of Jamaica.

The main dishes were good The snapper especially Sadly I am very familiar to the food and make plantains a lot and rice. The rice was cold Not fresh and the plantain also cold and a little hard I really encourage them to make the rice fresh and the plantains , cook as people order This is one thing that HAS to be fresh Soft and hot, but I will give them another chance Beautiful man !!!❤️

Not just the best Jamaican restaurant but in my opinion the best restaurant in Sacramento.They serve Ital for the ones of us who are vegan.

I gave it 3 instead of 4 because the entire dish was missing salt! Curry chicken was decent but missing salt along with the cabbage and the rice and peas. The beef patty had just come out the oven. It was nice and flaky and well seasoned.

Dubplate was the only local Caribbean restaurant open in the evening (Thursday at 6pm) and the food definitely had the Caribbean flavor. The rice and peas was delicious and wasn't cooked with too much salt. I was pleasantly surprised to see a love reggae band during my visit. They definitely set the mood.

I just had the best experience I was feeling sick and went to order food for takeout with friends. I expressed I wasn't feeling well to the host and she promptly offered ginger tea which she made from scratch. I didn't get her name but thank you beautiful soul! The food was delicious, deserves more than 5 stars.

Whaaaat? There's a Jamaican restaurant owned and operated by a black-is-beautiful woman called Sunny? Whhaaaat!!!??? I drice along and all I can hear us Bob saying I&I over and over again. Then I hear 'dem say. 'dem say. When I know damn well the Lion of Judah plant the coffee ☕️ and I&I plant the corn. So I turn the plane back and prepare for a short run way landing. And who do I talk to? A young prophet in the making. Still a boy, but FREELY sharing his knowledge, and laying down the law...almost as if tbe GREAT MOTHER was there all along, raising up her boy in the way of Jah. And then....the Queen herself comes out to supervise, and I actually got to touch her hand! And ohhh the food! The food! OMG THE FOOD!!!

Very very good and tasty food. Went here for my birthday lunch and enjoyed the curry goat, ox tail, jerk chicken. The rice and beans were very good and we loved how ripe the plantains were. Yum! Will come again.

Food was excellent. Got the large Jerk chicken. Season was on point, decent portion and price was reasonable. Definitely going back to try the ox tails and Curry Goat.

Invited a friend out for lunch and they received burnt jerk chicken. We both had burnt plantains. Last time the jerk chicken was dry for me. Will not be returning.

I went today for the first time and I got the Jerk Chicken. It was sooo good!! The place is super clean and great customer service! Will be back soon!

We started coming here when they first opened to support a Jamaican family like my own. The first time was great, the takeout was a little skimpy but tasty enough to be worth the price. Fthen after coming back several months in a row the plates got smaller and the quality went way down. We even tried to tell the manager, she seemed to not care. Last year we tried them one more time at the Jamaican festival in woodland, it was awful. At this point they lost our return business. The plates in the photos must be either publicity or only look that good for ceryain customers because the plates we received never looked that good.

This place has a food coma written all over it. We ordered the ox tail and the goat curry. Both dishes are so good, it make you want to slap your momma. Please note, no moms were harmed for this review. Anyways you get the point, get the oxtail and you can't go wrong

Oh la laaa! The food was delicious! This is hands down the best tasting brown stewed fish I've had since leaving Jamaica! The portion size was about 2 servings (had lunch for 2 days). The staff was very friendly and the wait time was about 15 minutes. I drove about 3 hours to this restaurant and would definitely make the trip again just to get food from this place

The best Jamaican food I’ve had since moving from the East Coast to California 2 years ago. Trust me, I’ve been looking! I got the combo plate with jerk and curry chicken. Delicious! The portions are also huge. I ate this for 3 days! The beef patty was stuffed and flaky. We stopped by on our way back to San Francisco from Tahoe. Totally worth the detour.
