Missed breakfast (ends at 10:30), but could still get chicken and waffle for lunch. Great chicken, cooked fast, right in the heart of downtown, since 1907. Don't miss it.

Food was fantastic and service was extra friendly. It made our day. I had heard about Drake's before but hadn't made it by yet. So glad we finally stopped in (on a whim) for some awesome burgers. It brightened a less than awesome day. The only disappointment was that they ran out of mac-n-cheese before we got there! Fortunately the fantastic cake made up for it. Worth every calorie ;)

I had the Chicken Filet Sandwich which was exceptional with pickles and mayo on top. Big, substantial sandwich! I also got the chicken salad sandwich which actually wasn't nearly as good, but the Filet Sandwich definitely made up for it. Service was polite and the prices are awesome! I came for lunch on a Wednesday and it did not take long to get my food. The Duck-In is a Columbia landmark. Their fried chicken is not only delicious, but the prices are fantastic.

This place always reminds me of Price's Chicken Coup up in Charlotte. It is a no frills rather divey establishment that has not updated its displays or added touch screen devices throughout the place. I love the black wrought iron style railings that help establish a perimeter in front of the place.

For over 50 years Drake"s has been a staple of Downtown Columbia. The food is always hot fresh. The staff is polite and friendly.
