The food needs a little bit of criticism and attention. The parmesan on the fries dried them out. It would be better if the parmesan was melted instead of dry powdered on. Both of the appetizers we ordered were bland (the squash ravioli and the warm fall salad needed salt, or something). After replacing the salad with the brussels sprouts, we realized they were overly drenched in basalmic. Would be better if they were drenched in something else, with a basalmic drizzle instead. The drinks, atmosphere and service were excellent. Despite improvement needed on the food, I would go back regardless

My husband and I have been coming here since inception and I feel the time is appropriate to leave a review. Sometimes we come just for drinks, other times we bring family and friends for a brunch or dinner. Consistently we were impressed with the quality of service but more importantly, with the food they serve. I love when I find a place that understands the essence of food. It needs to engage the senses. The inviting aroma arising from an appealing plate arrangement calling you to take a bite. And when you taste it, the richness and depth of flavor caresses your taste buds. That is exactly what I get in this restaurant and what brings me back. I find their prices reasonable as I usually end up paying more for the food of this quality.

Really enjoyed the Fall menu. Started with a cocktail (Love on Dove) and it was really delicious. We ordered the wings for and appetizer and they were cooked perfect. For dinner I had the salmon and it was seared perfect and tender on the inside. Very good meal overall.

Dove + Deer is super cute! The atmosphere and style of the place is a nice surprise for downtown Albany.I recently visited with a friend and we got the Parmesan Fries ($6) for an appetizer to split - there are LOTS of fries on this plate so definitely something you can share - the aioli sauce is great, just wish there was more of it for the amount of fries and wish the fries had been crispier.For dinner I got the Bleeker Salad ($13) which was a decent size and pretty tasty, the menu is somewhat limited but gives enough variety. With dinner I had a glass of the Chianti ($9) which I thought was a little over priced. It was interesting that they brought the wine over in small little glass bottles and then poured it into your wine glass vs. just bringing over a filled wine glass. Overall, a great little place I would love to visit next time I am back in town!

Good service, the place is gorgeous, and the food is good. The jerked chicken was a little bland, but overall it was as good experience.

OMG- We love the atmosphere here and our service Was amazing!! The food is super fresh and the menu is eclectic and tasty -we especially enjoyed the steak and cookie skillet for dessert! Dove & Deer Is OurLatest spot we plan to bring our closest friends and Family.

Super cute atmosphere. Everything on the menu is worth a try and the craft beer selection is surprisingly decent.

Super good food and a wonderful staff. Amazing burger, and awesome location just a block away from the Capital building and LOB. They have amazing specials, and this seems like a place that has people working there who actually care about it I'm happy to pop in and spend my money. I'm a bit frugal, but the atmosphere and value I feel of the meal make it more than worth it for me.

Always awesome food and drinks! Highly recommended for others with celiac's disease! Menu always includes gluten free options and I've never gotten sick after eating there.

Dove + Deer is the spot in Albany. The food is incredible, the Staff is super friendly and timely and I always leave feeling like I got my dollars worth.

Went for my husband's birthday. Food was excellent and service was good. Great selection of dishes. Will definitely be back.
