Great local joint with a small but excellent beer list, interesting patrons, only one television (a GOOD thing), friendly barkeep, and food that fills the need for food at a bar. You can come here and read a book, talk to someone new, or just mind your own business and beer.

Tons of character, solid jukebox with rotating selection. Extensive citywide list

Fun dive bar. Was pet friendly but I guess somebody didn't like it too much and reported it. Now I don't have handsome pets to sit next to while I enjoy a city wide.

Good prices on beer and sandwiches. You can get pitchers at the tables, as well as make your own beer flights. The bathrooms are really narrow and awkward. The jukebox is great though. Cash only - there is an atm. This is a good dive - pretty much the only one around the neighborhood. There is outdoor seating in the summer.

A good basic bar . Interesting decor. A wall devoted to David Bowie the other wall devoted to cats. Barman friendly prices excellent.

Pretty great place to go for a few beers with your friends. Not a lot of seating, but that's good. The food is ok, but pricey for what it is. I was going to say it was a nice, quiet place to gave a conversation with people, but some jackass found a juke box and cranked it up. Grrr

The best bar in the neighborhood. No nonsense, good times, everyone feels welcome.

Bowie shrine / dive bar with a great bar menu, and a strong jukebox. Get the chili.

Good divey bar with a solid jukebox in an area of Philly that amounts to a good bar graveyard

Tolerable hipster vibes, hole in the wall kind of place. Perfect place for some drinks and a conversation. Cash only but they have an ATM.

A nice neighborhood bar with a variety of craft beer selections. I've been told that the owner is one of the original Sigma Sound kids. A group of young people who camped out side Sigma Sound Studios when David Bowie recorded Young Americans here in Philly way back in 1974. It was a real friendly place my friend introduced me to some of her friends and we had a wonderful time talking and listening to Bowie songs.

Mediocre dive bar. Extra points for Bowie memorbilia and juke box selection
