Dogwood Bar and Grill

This restaurant is awesome. The food was great and staff and service was outstanding. Definitely my new favorite place to eat and enjoy myself.

We don't have a lot of eatery choices in the northern Durham area. The atmosphere here compared to its peers is good. However, the food is only okay and in my opinion not worth the price you pay for it. The first time I went there I did not have a good experience, had to send my food back (which I never do) as the menu is not descriptive and the server was completely wrong about the ingredients in the menu item. Wanting to give the restaurant a second chance I went there again today. I ordered the grilled chicken which was tough and tasteless. I won't be back.

We have eaten here several times and ordered different things each time. And every single time, the quality has far exceeded our expectations. The boom boom shrimp and chicken fingers are delicious. The burgers here are second to none. If you want an amazing appetizer, get the beef and chicken empanadas. We have never had a bad meal or drink here. We hope this place stays open for years to come.

A great place for a very nice dinner. Good for a business meeting as well as a family meeting. We scheduled an eight o'clock meeting here and were seated immediately. The wait staff was very attentive the entire time we were there. The pico de gallo was delicious! And the chips were made in-house. The owner came around and introduced herself and was very welcoming. Will definitely be having meetings and dinner here more often. I highly recommend the dogwood grill.

Finally! A place in North Durham where you can get great food and great service! Nicely tucked away with a quaint atmosphere....love it!

5 stars based on having appetizers and beer at the bar. I was pleased with the quality and price of the appetizers. Great selection of other items on the menu, and their prices seemed competitive to me. I got a pint of a local beer and it was 5.50. This is reasonable. Great to have a quality food and bar hangout in North Durham. All staff were friendly and knew their jobs - a credit to the management.

So happy to have a great place to eat in N. Durham. Some of the specialties from Metro 8 are on the menu, which I love. I had the Chicken Cilantro tonight. The portion was huge and tasty and the Chicken breast stayed nice and moist. I'll be making this a neighborhood staple.

There Shepherd's Pie is really good. If I can order a pan of it I would for Thanksgiving.There Chicken Philly is good bread is nice and freah and goes good with the soup of the day.

FANTASTIC RESTAURANT. The food is delicious. It is the perfect place for a lunch meeting or a nice dinner. The service is fantastic! Alondra is so warm, and welcoming and always makes us feel like family. PS: they have the best BLT in America.

We had dinner last night for the first time and it did not disappoint. I saved the opportunity to visit this neighborhood spot when my mother was visiting in town. We were immediately sat and provided drinks. Our server, Samantha, was attentive and cordial. We decided on burgers which were delicious and juicy. The french fries were hot and yummy. My mother got the chicken sandwich with mac n cheese. She mentioned it was great too.I feel for the price, level of service and quality of food, this is a great addition to North Durham and I look forward to bringing more friends and family to this establishment.

Food was just ok. Was looking for that great full of flavor hidden gem, not to be found here. Been here a few times before writing a review and found it to be nothing great. If you just want an average meal this is the place for you.

I went to this restaurant a few months ago with my mother and sister. The atmosphere was pretty nice. When it came time to order food, my sister was having trouble picking out what she wanted to eat and kept changing her mind over what to order. The waiter was incredibly nice and was very patient with my little sister. When we finally finished ordering the waiter reached over and gave her a high-five. He then smiled and went back to the kitchen. The wait for our food was only about 5 minutes. I order a hamburger and it was huge! But it was also super tasty! The rest of my family also enjoyed their meals very much. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice dinner with your friends or family or just alone. I was very impressed with the service and the food. I would definitely recommend this place. :)
