Diya indian cuisine

The food is about average in terms of authenticity. The food had some spices, but nothing closer to what the original dish is supposed to be. The restaurant is more of a Nepalese food than Indian food. Had very limited vegetarian entrees and appetizers.

Enjoyed our first time here today. Had the $8.99 buffet. Food was great and well worth the visit. We will be returning. Conveniently located near King Street just a block over from City Hall. Friendly staff.

We went here for a work lunch. Plenty of nice open seating even though we had a big group. Most folks got the buffet which seems like a good deal but I got the shrimp vindaloo which was amazing. It was extremely spicy which I like. It has me really sweating but was still able to taste all the flavors. I definitely recommend getting some of the naan to go with it. They have several different kinds which are all great. Will definitely be back soon.

Diya never disappoints! Initially only did take out and then went to the restaurant with friends for a sit down dinner and it surpassed all expectations. Not only is the food consistently delicious and high quality but the restaurant itself is gorgeous and to top it all off, the level of service and care is outstanding. All around 5 star quality restaurant from take out to dine in! You are doing amazing Diya! Never change!!

They have a lunch buffet that is reasonably priced. Food is good but I've had other Indian buffets I like better. A good mix of meat and vegetarian dishes are offered. Naan is included. I've been a few times and some of the buffet items change so there is variety if you go more than one time.

I went for buffet. Good food. Reasonable prices. Awesome environment. Classy, professional. Perfect for a fancy date. Very good customer service. Very attentive. For example, my glass never got empty. They must have refilled it at least 4 times or more! Quiet and away from crowds. Plan to return soon!

I'm fun of Indian food and this is the best place I have been in a long time.I had onion kolcha which I had last year in Agra India, well this place makes it exactly the same way... AMAZING!💞I also had lamb korma and lamb sage both delicious.The service was excellent, very professional and very kind.The restaurant is very clean and well decorating... it's upstairs second floor.Highly recommended 🏆🏆🏆🏆

Have been here multiple times for lunch buffet. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. My friend had a complaint about how the naan didn't come out fast enough (recommended to order double the amount of you enjoy naan with your food) but I'm neutral on that.Great experiences though and would my come back in the future.

Tasty but spicy even though I asked for less heat. Meat cuts were a little questionable and some were over-cooked. Good portions and nicely done, but I've been spoiled by great chefs and expect slightly better quality than Diya supplied.Quick turnaround from ordering to service. Friendly staff and accurate takeout.

Delicious and decadent dishes that are sure to impress. The aloo Gobi is especially flavorful and the accompanying naan is a necessity. Diya is a must try in Old Town Alexandria for locals, and tourists alike.

The food was fantastic. Arguably the best saag ever. Beautiful staff, attentive but not intrusive. The lunch thali is a great deal and everything was so good, we ordered more to take home! The restaurant was lovely. You have to try this place.

I very much enjoyed this place, an hidden gem. The decour is very nice and the staff is friendly. My wife and I went for the buffet which is $10.99 mon- fri and $11.99 on weekends, did I mention that children 5 and under est free and 5 to 10 are half price, will come again.

Not as much flavor as I expected. Hard to find.
