One of the best rock bars in London

Came down and stayed in Islington for the weekend. Ended up here two nights in a row. Great music, great 'american atmosphere! Bouncers were friendly and the whiskey was flowing!

Tonight was my first slim Jim's experience and without doubt my night was made by the staff... in particular a handsome well mannered fella called rory. Thank you rory for a great evening. Will be back just for his crack!!

Nice rock/metal american style bar. Stays open till late, usually a small entrance fee (last Saturday it was £3) if you come late on certain days. A good bar to drink and listen to rock music. Nothing fancy but to the point

Over priced drinks, seating needs to be replaced. Good vibes otherwise.

My favourite dive bar in London with rock/alternative music playing plus live acts on some nights. Great cocktails and friendly staff plus a huge selection of whiskies. Love propping up the bar here.

The best bar on Upper St. If you're a fan of rock music, whiskey and cocktails, then you'll love it here.It's a bit narrow and when it's busy it can be hard to move, but for atmosphere and fun, this is the place. Sometimes the staff can be a bit rude and/or arrogant, but I think that's just London. For the most part they are fine.Sometimes they have live music and every time I have been the talent has been incredible. They are also open to 3am on some nights, so it's not just the place to be, it's the only place you can be (besides at home in bed, and who wants to be that boring?). Also, I doubt there are many places with hundreds of bras hanging from the ceiling - I think sacrificing your bra used to get you champagne but people quickly worked out that bras are cheaper than champagne so I imagine they have stopped this process.In short, great atmosphere, great drinks, cool characters, and loads of neon!

Perfect place for amazing cocktails, happy hour, rock music and an amazing American style bar! Stuff has excellent knowledge of cocktails and they will make you whatever you fancy even if it's not on the list

A nice bar that I've been going to recently, Just asked a question about a fake note & got two barrels by the staff/manager... Own a local business & wanted to make sure our staff don't make the same mistake ! Didn't expect that reaction, but anyway, each to their own! Enjoy the bar

I often come here for grunge nights, where there are live bands playing. Very friendly and chill atmosphere. Staff are awesome, too!

The sound of the live acts is very good for the setup they have and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The acts they have on are always top class. Do yourself a favor and go to a gig at Slims.
