Server Taylor was excellent and went over the menu with us to describe different dishes. She indicated which dishes were popular, how many people each item would feed, and stayed right on top of everything. Taylor, you did a great job.

This place is easily one of our family's favorite restaurants. All different kinds of steamed dumplings to try, all delicious. We also love the garlic string beans and the chocolate dumpling dessert! This place is always busy so keep that in mind. Usually we'll shop or hang out in the mall while waiting to get texted when our table is ready.

Good place for yummy food. Some good vegetarian options. I expected the rice cakes to be different as it was my first time there. But enjoyed the overall experience of dining there. Wonderful staff and service. The fried noodles were not great. The dumplings were awesome.

Though you can obviously find much better food in taiwan, it’s probably the closest you’re going to get in a city. Good selection of food. It’s on the more overpriced side tho sadly. But tasty!

Outstanding service. I was seated within minutes of arriving and my order was swiftly taken. Food came out shortly after, which is a blessing considering how busy the place was. I got the pork XLB, beef braised noodles. Both were delicious.

Great dumplings, pot stickers, and buns. The other food features looked good as well. The service was phenomenal. (Thanks for the terrific job May!) It is very busy so come early and eat lots. We will definitely be back.

Wow, there are definitely many reasons this place is so popular with locals and visitors alike! The food was phenomenally delicious, and well priced for the value. The dumplings were so exceptional, as were the noodles. Though the atmosphere is a little lively for my taste in that it is hard to hear your friends, it is still enjoyable and decorated fashionably . The service was very noteworthy and enjoyable as well. Put this place on your bucket list the next time you visit Seattle!

i came to Din Tai Fung while on a conference and I was worried about the idea of separate checks since we need to show receipts to get reimbursement. Our waitress was incredible and split everything four ways while still providing itemized receipts for everyone. So helpful. You check off everything you want to order on a paper slip which shows you all the pricing. Order everything! Especially the green beans.

I was really excited to try this place but the quality was actually OK for the prices. Their soup dumplings were mini versions, flavor was OK but price was highest than any other soup dumplings I've had. It also wasn't piping hot but more warm temperature which isn't ideal for soup dumplings. The service is quick and great. They are very attentive and have a good system going for "dim sum" style. Overall, this place is more commercialized versus focusing on the quality and flavor of their food, especially for what's considered their "staple" which is the soup dumplings.

I've heard about this place for a long time and finally had the chance to try it out. It totally lives up to the hype. Every dish I tried was delicious: from dumplings, to fried rice, and even the green beans. Some important things to know are that: you WILL have to wait, it's pretty easy to spend some real $$$, and that you'll enjoy your food. They also have some other locations in the area, but switching locations will not help you avoid the crowds. There's not a "slow time", so just send someone early to get a table and enjoy your meal!

Food was delicious, staff was on it. Not the best dumpling place but it's always consistent and good.Unfortunately the prices is the food are a huge downfall. Dumplings do not need to be so expensive. Not sure I'll come back specifically because of the prices

Love that you can watch them make the dumplings through the outside window! Good soup options, desserts, and of course, dumplings. I ordered a vegan dumpling, and they only had one option for that, but it was pretty good. My friend ordered a beef soup, and seemed to like it a lot. Lots of noodle options for many dietary restrictions. Great instructions on how to eat soup dumplings and how to make the sauce yourself with the provided ginger, soy sauce and vinegar. A bit pricey, but that's what you get for Downtown Seattle.

Questions & Answers

Yes.

Yes

The food is exactly the same but restaurant is larger. The bar area is a lot bigger and you don't feel crammed into a corner.

Pacific Place has a parking garage underneath. You can park there and make your way up to the restraunt.

Yes in the Pacific Place garage

Dim sum is served during all open hours

Only for large groups.

Waits at this one are WAY shorter than U Village, in my experience. The restaurant isn't quite as cool but if you just want the food and less of the "dim sum experience" you should go here
