Der Dutchman

It was an experience more than anything else. I had a Ruben sandwich & could not find any kraut on it although the corned beef was very good. The broccoli cheese soup was good but a little salty. I did enjoy the gift shop & the homemade jams & pastries.

We visit Der Dutchman at least once a week. The food is always fresh and delicious. All of the waiters and waitresses are very friendly and helpful. I cannot recall having a bad experience at this restaurant. The bakery is wonderful but if you want a specific doughnut you should go early in the day. After dining, there is a lovely gift shop upstairs. Don’t worry there is an elevator if you can’t climb the stairs. The staff will help you find a gift for any special occasion.

Excellent comfort food! The broasted chicken is tops. A huge buffet that should satisfy anyone. Top notch baked goods!

I honestly feel like this restaurant is a hit or miss. I have been numerous times and sometimes I enjoy it, and sometimes I don’t. The buffet is good, but like I said, it can be iffy sometimes. One thing that is always good, the fried chicken. I don’t even see how you could mess up fried chicken, but theirs is so so so good! Definitely my go to buffet item here. However, I do love the atmosphere. So fun and family friendly. All of the staff are so kind and have such a nice, welcoming attitude. Everything about this place makes you feel like you are having dinner at your moms house. The food is most definitely home style, comfort food. I also love the store. Everything in it is so cute! The pricing is one thing I very much dislike. It can be quite pricey and I don’t think it’s worth all the money. I would recommend this restaurant, but be careful, it’s hit or miss.

A fantastic Amish style home cooking.Great food, great friendly service and very reasonable prices. Plus a bakery and Amish treats for sale. A homey front porch with rocking chairs inviting a sit for awhile.

The food is ok. Their German Delight was awesome. But the food is so so. Very busy all the time however. Definitely need to plan when to go there.

The best place to get good food and good service. The wait staff is excellent and you won't leave hungry! Love the chicken salad and the bread is awesome! Fresh baked. The salad bar is amazing too. There is a store in the restaurant so you can get your extra foods to go. You have to go!! The wait staff is excellent.

Yummy...friendly atmosphere & the buffet is the freshest I've ever tasted. Amish home cooked food is the best. Need to check out their bakery & shops as well. Never been disappointed.

Great homemade food. The buffet is unbelievable. Everyone gets what they like.I would like to suggest. With Covid 19. To do like Morrisons Cafateria use to do. They had plexi glass across the food line, with just enough room underneath to hand your dish of food to you. Workers could wear mask and gloves. More staff jobs. Salads were in line pre-made. ( like a line of cesar, wedge, garden etc... They would scoop whatever veggie into a sm.dish, your meats, deserts were on sm.plates, everything got handed under plexi glass. Pay at end. Or still just charge buffet price when leaving. Win. Win.

I had my wedding cake made here along with specialty doughnuts for my wedding. Very professional, beautiful cake made perfectly to order. She delivered it herself, I didn't even have to meet her at reception hall. Their prices are unmatched. I will always recommend!

I have went there at least 7 times. Love the food very fresh and desserts are awesome. Bakeries one of the best also. Upstairs shop-bought many of things up there even a coffee cup with my name on it! Go there you'll love it

Everything I had was good at the buffet. Really liked the broccoli salad. The bread pudding for dessert was really good. Very friendly staff.

When I first arrived there was a long line out the door. I was surprised as to how fast it went.Food was fresh and very delishes .Made a nice crisp salad salad to start. Then some fried chicken that was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The vegetable were just right already buttered and seasoned.several soups to choose from.Wish I did not get so filled up for I tried a bite of the bread pudding and it was very good .

Love going to Der Dutchman! The food is Delicious, the people are Friendly, the bakery is Yummy 😋 & the gift shop is Fun! It feels like a Special Treat every time we go..❇️
