We've been going here for 20 years and love the staff and the food. As long as you stick to diner selections -- breakfasts, burgers, meatloaf (awesome!) and such -- you'll get a great meal in a quaint diner setting.

Good food, cozy atmosphere, friendly service, a place I would highly recommend especially to veterans-you're treated with all of the dignity and respect you deserve and maybe you'll meet one of the last member of, "the greatest generation," (in just a while they will be laid to rest).

Good down-home food. However, at D.C. prices.

Great place to congregate, everyone is helpful, cheerful and care about getting you the best service, no rush. Pricey, but so worth seeing everyone.

Homey atmosphere ... Food is always great .... Breakfast is always served .... waitress are friendly ... And, clean!

Tonight we went for dinner. All of us ordered the fettuccine with meatball special. We waited well over half an hour for our food. It was meh. Meatballs good, fettuccine not so much. We usually love Dempsey's. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Love Dempsey's! Between all the members of my family I'm pretty sure we've had everything on the menu, plus the various specials and never been disappointed.

The staff is friendly and the food is pretty good. My favorite is the crab soup - amazing.

Amazing eggs Benedict! I have been here a few times and it is consistently fantastic. They have bottomless coffee as well. I will be back for sure!

Great food & service! I had the crabcake sandwich & sweet potato fries. The crabcake sandwich was delicious. Not packed with fillers, but all crabcake! Really liked that they offer a mini dessert menu with small shot versions for jus $1.50. Perfect ending when you want dessert, but are pretty full already. Highly recommend & Tina was a wonderful server.

Nice community restaurant. Very friendly and accommodating staff - first time I've ever had a waiter sit down to take the order (it made sense in order to hear us and have a writing space, plus done in a way that absolutely respected our personal space). Helped us feel at home. Was busy today but we didn't feel rushed. After eating we were able to chat and finish our coffee without being hassled.

Great service very friendly I ordered way too much and had leftovers. I had the country fried steak the gravy was delicious. It doesn't day but it comes with bread and shredded hash brows. My friend had the burger and said it was delicious! My pancakes were ok nothing great. Eggs were good as well!
