We aren't experts when it comes to Northern Chinese cuisine but the whole experience at this restaurant is memorable. Very clean, spacious, bright & beautiful dining experience. The staff are helpful with choosing menu items for newbies; you have to be a bit patient due to language barriers to communicate what you want/what they suggest, etc. We don't speak Mandarin and our order came out perfect. Portion to price ratio is reasonable. These flavours are not our personal preferences but we definitely appreciated the authenticity and experience of this restaurant, i.e. you can taste the care and cultural history in the dishes. Re the peking duck, the skin is light, crispy, and delicious - it's true we personally prefer Cantonese peking duck, but the Northern Chinese cook/flavours/preparation here is worth a try. Pig ear dish was yummy with a good amount of spicy heat. The hot pear drink is also highly recommended; was a nice treat and apparently good for health too :)

Okay at best, nothing special at all - in my opinion, not worth the visit. This location specialises in Peking Duck but there was nothing exceptional about their roast. Also, unlike most other restaurants, this place doesn't serve the duck 2 ways - just sliced and served.Do not order the scallops - premium price for suspect quality and below average execution.Side dishes were okay as well.Tldr: go somewhere else

Excellent Pekimg Duck. The pork and rice in a cooker was delicious. Also had ehe dumplings and Chinese brocolli. Great service and food.

The restaurant is well deserved their rating. The duck is good, but the wraps were all dried out. I recommend an authentic way to eat the duck skin is to dip it in sugar, but you have to ask the waiter to bring it to you, it doesn’t usually come with the duck. The lotus roots stuffed with glutinous isn’t bad. I probably will not go back again.

The food here is very delicious, the atmosphere is elegant and the service is speedy. For a Beijing duck restaurant, the duck is definitely good. The only downside is that the food is on the pricy side. I would recommend you to eat here.

A total disappointment. Used to come here and really enjoyed the food. But now the whole experience here was upsetting. Service was one of the worst since the waitress ignored us and had an attitude. The food quality went way down and the $30 sweet and sour fish I wouldn’t even buy it for $10. There were still scales on the fish and the “two pounder fish” was only one pound. Food tasted really awful and did not taste anything like it used to. Maybe the chef changed because a lot of stuff on the menu also got cut and are no longer available. Overall a 1/5 experience; not coming back here.

Service fast, portions large and price is pretty good. Should go as a big group so you can try everything on the menu. We went as a group of 13, orderered 20+ dishes and was only $350.

Months ago when you order the duck bone soup they were using real duck bones, and it was very delicious. Now they don't even use bones anymore. Or at least you don't see any bones and meat in the soup. The soup itself tastes like a mix of pepper, salt, Infact the pepper taste was so heavy I can't even taste anything else. Also for another dish, they cut the pork bone from the top so you get less meat.

Peeking duck was very delicious and it was our first time trying bull frog and I have to admit it was very tasty. The ice cream cone fruit salad was super fresh but you have you order minimum 3.

Came back after one year, attitude of waitress and food quality all went down, definitely not worth the money you paid. Also, tips are assumed at 10% on after tax amount, if you paid based on before tax amount( which is right..) they will ask you come back and pay :). To summarize, if this place kept the same food quality and attitude, wish they could survive in 2020.

Great place for Beijing roast duck especially the presentation and atmosphere. Great selection of food with some dishes more on the spicier side. You can spend a lot as the menu is on the higher end. The VIP card is good if you decide to go more than two times a year and you can save a few dollars on each dish. My recommendation is to get the premium roast duck set (#1001), the steamed rice with gravy (#2021) and a few other dishes and that should satisfy the hunger of a group of four.

Really bad service. I had to call them over 3 times for my duck soup to come (waited like 40 min for it and we had already finished all other dishes). They charge mandatory 10% tip no matter how bad their service is. Tip should be based on how good their service not on what they demand. Based on food, they deserve 5/5. But based on service, I probably won’t come again.

Peking Duck always cooked to perfection! However please be reminded that this place charges for every little thing. For example the sauce that goes with the duck, if you want an extra one you need to pay. Lol
