Dark Horse

Set against the moving canvas of China Town, is a place (whose name sounds like a tavern in the Once Upon A Time series), that may just be one of the best blends of the Industrial and Romantic revolutions manifested as an apothecary of local artists, cafe and, meeting place. Recommended by a jet-setting ad exec I used to work with as a cool place for a network meeting, I agreed and was very pleased. A Dark Horse is as intriguing as its name suggests yet as breezy and easy as it gets when ordering a Pomegranate Ice Tea! From networking execs waxing on about meaningful brands, to star gazing love birds cozy on couches, SMEs pouring over posts and the gallery of art that fills it space. The Dark Horse is full of light.It felt like a good place to gather and deliver ideas with its quiet corners and larger seating areas so well integrated and welcoming! Easy to see why it's a local favorite.

It has decent food and service and the building itself has some cool character.

The beef pie was delish and so were the real mashed potatoes! Huge portion I couldn’t finish. Would recommend coming on Thursdays for $6 tall cans 👍🏼

Good traditional neighborhood pub, good variety of beers on tap and cans. We ordered the nachos and they very very good. Side note, our waitress was very kind, great service.

Good food and good desserts, fair selection of beer and spirits, can be very quiet during the week ample parking on the street and close to the east exit of Jane Station

I really liked the jambalaya — It was pretty good. Also had the shrimp ceviche which I also liked. We drove by one day and said let’s try it. It turned out to be a pretttty good choice. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. Bloor West, nice area - can’t go wrong. Lotsa window shopping.

A decent menu and pub experience. Kid-friendly.

Food is good as well as the service. Cozy feel to the place. You get a feeling there are a lot of regulars that go to the place. The patio is big and always packed on warm summer nights.

Really relaxing atmosphere. Good service. The food was amazing (well-cooked and sessoned and at the right temperature) and they had a really awesome deal on drinks that day $5 mimosas. The price of the food was quite reasonable. My friends and I had an awesome brunch together.

Great Trivia Night!

We loved the food, my avocado wasnt ripe enough, but it was still so delicious!! Service was great, thanks Jessica! We got the the smoked salmon wrap, tomato dill soup and the ABC sandwich added a fried egg, and the garden salad :)

Not a bad little pub. Liked the vibe.

We like the outdoor patio. Staff is friendly and efficient. The menu is upper class pub food, and so far, the meals we had there have always been delicious!
