I got the yellow rice, with black beans and chicken, all very good!! I also tried the chicken and beef empanadas, both good but as usually the chicken was better haha...... unfortunately there was more dough on the edges of the empanadas and not as much filling and you would expect just looking at them.......lastly I tried the maduros which got whatever reason I can never find a place that makes these well. They are either way too dry or have absolutely no flavor. Danny's maduros definitely weren't dry but they were different. They use cinnamon and maybe vanilla which I'm still not sure I really care for but not bad, maybe something I just need to get used toPortions are very big!! In total I had about 3 meals from this and it cost me about $15.

Not the best. Not the worst. Not authentic Puerto Rican, but not horrible either. Skip the empanadas which are dry and not that tasty. Rice and beans are good. There are better places.

My experience here was always bad. I ALWAYS used to get chicken soup there and waited 45 minutes for it. Then last time which was like 2 weeks ago, I waited for 35 minutes for me to walk out take the soup out the bad to just water in the jar. No chicken inside no potatoes no nothing. Then they overcharge the soups and chicken for no reason. I'm sorry but they lost a customer. Never going back. Plus it's way too unsanitary.

The food is delicious but only in the Newburgh location. The Poughkeepsie location is the ugly cousin with really tasteless food...

Terrible service !!! Smells horrible in the front like they emptied the mop water in the plant smh .Food is salty and they take forever to get your food ready. And why would you tell someone 5 mins for tostones when you won’t have any done for another 15-20mins then on top of that you don’t have any sauce for them smh !!! Let another Spanish spot open on a Monday y’all customers gonna be missing like your mojito sauce !!!!

They have a menu yet said we could only.order what was ready. So why have a menu? The service was mediocre. Staples that's you expect to order were not available...no plantains (maduros or tostones). No bueno!! The flavor was lacking also.

Awesome lunch special. It is a great price for the amount of food that you get. The flavors are rich with plenty of the usual Puerto Rican spices. This is my favorite Spanish spot so far since moving here. Use cash if you can in order to avoid the credit card fee
