Dakshin South Indian Bistro

It is a good place to have dosa with taste slightly de-tuned. Great place if you’re introducing someone to South Indian food for first time and would like a not so spicy food and easier to get used to taste.

Delicious Indian food, big portions for a reasonable price, and absolutely LOVELY service. One of the employees noticed how we were sitting in a bit of a cramped fashion and offered to give us more space, and then later on noticed we might need extra plates and offered us some. The service was so attentive and considerate, even though the restaurant was already quite busy. Would recommend it and want to give out this shout out to the Dakshin service!

I really like the food from here, but DON'T ORDER ONLINE. The staff doesn't notice the orders. Call in. I got that tip from a friend and now it just happened to me

After a year of searching for a nice south indian meals...found Dakshin. A small restaurant that packs big flavors. The veggie thali had authentic taste. The sambar packed with lot of veggies, flavorful biryani, tasty pakoras, delicious kesari and the highlight of them all was the rasam. If you want to try authentic south Indian cuisine, this is a must try . And if you long for some nice thali, go here and you will not regret it.

Haven’t been to too much Indian restaurant before. The curry lamb is good. The crepe (dosa) is not as expected. The complementary tea is definitely worth a try, I love that tea with sugar!(Regarding the crepe, previously I had thicker and hotter pancake in other Indian restaurants. Would appreciate that if anyone could point out what’s that called. Thanks!)

Excellent butter chicken plate. Comes with rice, yogurt dip, and a side. I recommend the paratha flaky bread. The goat curry and other chicken dishes are also very good.

Small place but quality food. I tried their thali over a weekend and was pleasantly surprised by its flavor! They also have a platter of South Indian breakfast items over the Weekend which is worth the money! Staff was very friendly!

This place has good combos. We ordered one chicken curry and masala Dosa, idly, casa combo. Chicken curry was excellent. Dosa was good, but masala inside wasn't great. I liked the sambhar but green chutney was bland. Tea is complimentary and it tastes so good. This place has limited parking.
