Surprisingly delicious food. Large portions. Accommodating waitstaff. But...pretty expensive. Entrees from $24-50! Comes with pasta or scalloped potatoes.

The best Italian restaurant in Manhattan. I have lived in NYC for more than 15-years and dine here often, and the food and service is always exceptional. The kitchen would make any Italian mom proud, delicious and fresh Italian food cooked to perfection; the desert's are heavenly; and the atmosphere is everything you expect in NYC. Love the live piano ... and keep your eye out, because this famed eatery is frequented by celebrities. The owners Craig and Kay make you feel like part of the family, and Tom, the host, is an icon in NYC.

Amazing food, love music a bit too loud although it IS beautiful, just hard to have a comvo. Great attentive service :)

Eating at Da Marino is all about the experience, and we loved it. It's crazy, cramped, noisy and brilliant all in one little package! From waiting to be seated in the virtually none existent 'corridor' behind the bar, to the noise of the place (including the live music) and to the speed at which the waiters whizz around, we had a great time. We also found the food and wine to be delicious, if a little on the pricey side (but you are in the middle of Manhattan). I'm sure all of the things we loved could be perceived as negatives by those of a different mindset, but if you want a 'dining experience' rather than just good food, I'd thoroughly recommend Da Marino, it really is a blast for all of your senses!

Food was excellent. We tried a couple of the pasta dishes and he portion sizes were great. Couldn’t eat as much as we wanted since it was an early dinner before a Broadway shoe. I believe our waitress was having a bad day, although all others that were helping here seemed great.

Veal Marsala was fantastic. The seafood pasta was easily enough fir two!

The biggest (and huge) drawback was no air conditioning in the restaurant -- and the waitressing staff said that the owners haven't fixed it in years!! Suffocatingly hot in the summer so beware / ask ahead of time if they've fixed it. Wait staff was kind and solicitous and food was good.

One thing is for sure, not a single person accepts being in charge, nor do they know what they're doing, but they'll schmooze the hella outta ya! Other than old managers that are too handsy and repeat the same 2 jokes to every person that walks through the door ... The cocktails are overpriced ... The food is swimming in sauce (which I don't think would be a problem if the sauce was good)... Some dishes are decent, but all of them look like they were plated by grandma back in the 70's. Not worth the price.

The whole entire experience was exquisite. By far one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been too, both in atmosphere and with cuisine. Perfect place to dine after seeing a Wednesday matinee. Continuing the musical experience with Danny. Not to mention, the phenomenal murals painted on every wall as if your in the Calabrian region of Italy. Let’s talk about how lovely the staff was, especially the Maitre De, Tom. They even let me sing 2 songs. As well as the food, just divine, everything was cooked to perfection! It’s a must, I give it 5 stars!

One hour wait with reservation. Appetizer and salad both average to below average. Seafood main course was good. Fillet special was outstanding. Service was below average. Wine and cocktails were good, but a little expensive for what they were. Total bill for 2 was $230. One appetizer, one salad, 2 main courses, no dessert, 2 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine. With so many choices in the city, I doubt I will go back, but if you want to try, I'd suggest a week night outside of the holiday season. It has the potential to be really good.

Great place to have delicious Italian food with welcoming staff! From Tom(general manager) to our server, they made our experience at Da Marino memorable. My daughter and her friend loved sitting in the ornate chairs. A definite stop next time in NYC.

We celebrated my wife's birthday, for our first visit to Da Marino's. It was two thumbs up, double grrr. The food, and the service were Fantastic. It was our virgin trip to New York, and this restaurant was one the best choices we made. Tom, the manager, made it an especially memorable experience for my wife an I. Thank you, Tom. I'm sorry, I can't remember our waiters name, but he was fantastic, as well.

It's a very wonderful place. The food, wine, live music and decoration are so fantastic. Strongly recommend!

Superb atmosphere and welcome. Great range of Italian dishes on the menu. Despite being recommended this restaurant, the service was very poor and the food inedible. My pasta was under cooked and for the time taken between ordering and having our meals served there is no way that our pasta was cooked fresh. Our meals were clearly microwaved by the poor quality too. Highly disappointed.

The food here is absolutely incredible! Great environment, fairly priced, and across the street from Ambassador Theatre. I've included pictures of the menu because no where else has the prices of their menu.
