Food was good. Server was not really personable and kind of slow even though there was only 2 other tables seated. We had the burnt ends special. Highly recommend! The pulled chicken was moist and delicious. The different BBQ sauces were very good and offered a nice variety of flavors. The brisket burger was very good. Not sure you could go wrong with anything on this menu.Recommend using the Cumberland St Entrance Parking deck. It's less than half a block from the restaurant on the same side of the street.

10 of us enjoyed lunch. Each meal was great. The pork and chicken Barbeque platters and sandwich were wonderful. We ordered the Alabama white sauce which was great as well as they had four different sauces on the table. The sides of macaroni and cheese collard greens baked beans french fries and others were just wonderful

The most tender, flavorful pulled pork I have ever had! Great service, great atmosphere.

I truly felt bad for the server, because it was not her fault, it’s poorly managed. Manager wouldn’t even come over to the table to apologize for our wait and bad food he just comped all of our food. We watched about 6 tables walk out because it took so long to get greeted. Someone needs to manage this place better and hire more staff

Casual Southern Barbecue, great onion rings, outstanding pork chops, generally no wait-off the beaten East Bay St path-one of my favorite place for a brew

The food is below average for South Carolina barbecue wherever you go across the state. The meat was wet without having put any sauce on it. The Mac and cheese wasn't cheesy, and the greens weren't cook well. The sweet tea was amazing. The hostess was nice.

Came on Saturday afternoon around 2pm. We sat ourselves as the sign instructed. Waited 15 minutes or more just to be greeted. Another 10 mins for our drinks. I ordered Sprite and got water. My husband asked for my correct drink and it never came until we asked again when our food arrived. Pork was okay, mac and cheese was cold. Bread on sandwich was soggy. We were never checked on after our meal was delivered. Never got drink refills. We had to go to the bar and ask for our check. One server for the entire restaurant is not enough! We were extremely disappointed and will not return.

Good spirits and food. Prices were reasonable. We enjoyed our visit here and I can recommend the pork rinds as a unique and memorable treat. The location is easy to find in the French Quarter as well. Plus the interior is nicely decorated in an easy-going but not ostentatious manner. The vibe was chill and low-key when we stopped by in between lunch and dinner so I can't say how busy it gets during rush hour. All in all, a good place for good BBQ!

Not a good visit at all. We were seated, Looked at menu, decided what we wanted. Server comes back, try to order, then was told no burgers. That is what I wanted. With fries. So I said ok, I would have a pulled pork sandwich with fries. Amazingly enough, unlike any other restaurant in the civilized world, fries are not an available side. But I could purchase an appetizer order for 7 bucks. Which would make the meal 18 bucks for a sandwich, with fries that is only worth 5 bucks. Then I decided to just get one of the available sides. Asked the server if she would check with manager to see if I could substitute. That request didn't go anywhere. So I will definitely not ever visit this place again.

Awesome staff! Because of this, the Cumberland smokehouse became our local when our ship was in for 6 weeks in april/May this year. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

I’m sure that this restaurant is good based off of all of the personal recommendations that I have been given lately. But I wouldn’t know since my wife and I were just basically told to leave due to improper planning of a private party that they had today. We will try again another day I suppose.Edit - My wife and I gave Cumberland St Smokehouse another shot yesterday and we were both thoroughly impressed. As you can see by the photo that was taken after the meal was competed, nothing food related remained in the plate. Everything we tried was phenomenal and our only complaint was that the platter portion size was a bit small and left us both wanting more.
