Crossbones Tavern

When I heard Crossbones was closing I was so disappointed, but with the reopen I felt like there was hope. THERE ISN'T. THIS IS FALSE NEWS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. The new owners are rude, the new staff SUCKS, the food isn't the same, and according to about 5 other posts...they have a fly problem and bugs getting in their alcohol bottles. The fly problem I can attest to. This wasn't an issue under the old management why is it an issue now???? Its disgusting. Entire new atmosphere, entire new staff who care more about their cell phones then the fact I havent had a refill in over 30 mins...I just want my old Crossbones back!!!!!!

Great atmosphere and good food (just wish portion sizes were a bit bigger). Alden was one of the best servers I've ever had. I had another great server my previous visit (forgot her name, but she had her daughter visit) and she was amazing as well. Give them both raises.

The new owners Jeanette and Eric have driven this place into the ground! You can't even sit inside without being swarmed by flies, the majority of the wait staff is rude and would rather sit on their phones then provide good service, and after seeing the fly in their Don Julio alcohol bottle...I was done!!!! DISGUSTING. DO NOT EAT HERE. This place used to be amazing under the old owners. What a shame.

I've been twice now since moving into the area. My lunch yesterday was the best experience. Sarah at the bar was friendly, helpful and personable. My drink was great, as was the food. I met one of the owners who was just as friendly. I will be back.

Service and food were good. Enjoyed the tuna sandwich and a couple of beers. Atmosphere was sports bar type, tv's on, concrete floor. School was out for summer, so No idea how it would be in session.

Crossbones is a good bar with good food. It has an outside patio and a decent space on the first floor. Comedy shows are held on Tuesday nights which is great!

This restaurant is hands down my favorite in downtown Greenville. Extremely friendly staff who actually care, and delicious food. I recommend this place to everybody!! Will definitely be going back :)

We landed here because they are kid friendly. Today is their last day in business ☹️

Came for the food, stayed for the bingo! On Monday nights, you can find Chow's Bar Bingo going strong. Winners recieve a $5 gift certificate to the restaurant, which is pretty awesome if you ask me! The food was also pretty great. Tried the BBQ grits and the chicken and waffles. Was not disappointed! Friendly staff, good food, drag queens handing out bingo prizes, what more could you want?

Such a great find. Recommended by the staff of Eastern Headache and Spine. A nice comfortable place to grab a quick beer and a bite. Or to sit down for a well prepared meal. Our time of visit was 1130, date of visit 02/13/2019. Our server Alden was EXTREMELY helpful (menu knowledgeable), and AWESOME. Timing of food was incredible. We had the avocado pesto bruschetta as an appetizer. The brisket sandwich, and the Caribbean jerk tuna. ALL WERE AMAZING. The bloody Mary's were just as DELICIOUS. My only complaint would be is that I didn't get a chance to try the collards. But I know we'll be back.

I know good burgers and these are easily the best burgers in greenville. Ordered medium rare cooked perfectly. Good beer too. Great place overall
