Amazing beer selection and pizzas were to die for definitely a must!

The place has slowly been going downhill for the last year (location by golf course). Inexperienced staff. Bad managers. Food rarely comes out right & takes forever. But today was the kicker. A very understaffed day with an inexperienced young lady doing her best to play fill in bartender. She didn’t know the mixers or recipes. After she texted the manager he finally showed up (bald guy with beard) & yelled at her so everyone in the place could hear him belittling her. “I’m smoking mad right now” “why aren’t the tabs right?” He went on and on. Hello! There wasn’t a manager on site to help. I told her she didn’t deserve to be spoken to like that. We won’t be back. And my burger was cold. Usually it’s over cooked & never pink in the middle for medium. It was pink but cold. Could be why the Mt Airy location closed so quickly. If you can’t run a restaurant properly & professionally just do beer & packaged food.

This review is the same for the main restaurant of theirs, the only difference between the two is the amount of items you can get on the menu. Still, a good selection, and still the same high quality as the main one. The seating is a but minuscule in the winter, but considering this one is only open one day more than the main one, it is OK for what it is. Overall, the same great restaurant in a smaller form factor.Original restaurant review for the bigger one: This is by far one of the best restaurants in the area. Whenever I travel there, I always try to go here at least one time a week. The food is fresh, and anything you order there is of very high quality, with generous portions. The servers are attentive and management runs the place well. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the money you pay. Plus, they have deals and specials all of the time. Overall, a great restaurant, and if you are in the area, you need to try it.

Good food, great music, friendly staff

Great choice of pub foods, each of excellent quality. Especially enjoyed the brisket platter with house made chips. Great choice of local and regional beers on tap. Special mention for the Creek Bottom brown ale.

I only give this place a four, simply for the fact, they did not offer Military or Retired Military Discounts. They offered and I do not begrude, Firemen/First Responder/ discounts, but we all know that their sacrifice is as equal as the other. They are here to protect each and every one of us, in some way, shape, form, or fashion. Other than that, great "spirits," great brews, and darn good food!

Outstanding ribs, brisket, and pickle fries, not to mention the variety of excellent beers on tap. Our server was friendly and helpful. This place is a gem!

WORST SERVICE. WORST FOOD. In Galax. I do not recommend choosing this place to eat!The owner wouldn’t even speak to me about the issue, then the servers was complaining to other customers about my situation as well.

the beer was fantastic....hands down worst pizza & calzone I've had. I didn't know it was possible to under cook & totally burn a pizza & calzone. calzone came out in less than 10 minutes (they always cook twice as long as a pizza) the parts that weren't burnt were so undercooked it was still doughy. content://media/external/file/156472
