Cracked Conch Cafe

Have been here a couple times, and the food has been great. The portions are large, and hooked well. The conch is tender. The chowder had plenty of meat. The fries and onion rings were plenty crispy.

We liked the laid-back vibe and the outdoor seating. Fun decor. We tried the Conch Melt sandwich and Conch Chowder. Both were tasty!

Can't say enough good about this place. Good food at affordable prices. EXCELLENT service. Really above and beyond. I am actually sad that it was pretty much empty when we got there. Maybe because it was a little late on a Wednesday morning. But we left a MUCH more crowded place and I'm glad we did. Our waitresses were great and attentive and did everything they could to make things easier with our children who were getting ansy waiting for their food. They also had Texas Pete hot sauce, which is a regional thing from NC (home).

Wait staff can be a bit salty at at times but man is the food excellent. The Philly sandwich is authentic and you'll savor every bite. Conch fingers are the best in town as well. Miss this place already!

If you want to wait more than 15 minutes to get your order taken and be given the wrong drink, this place is for you! Rude waitress. Just go next door to La Nina restaurant instead! They have quick and courteous service. Better prices too.

Great food! The potato skins are especially delicious.

I've been disappointed eating conch every time, until today. The secret (must be) in the tenderizing. Why other restaurants serve them without this process is a mystery. Nasty rubber bands turned into a delicious treat at Cracked Conch Cafe. Wonderful omelette. I can't wait to visit again... next week!!

I had seen a program on TV and it looked very tasty what they cooked. Conch breaded in Marsela sauce with mushrooms, it was good but it was not my expectation, yes I recommend it, very reasonable prices

We had the best breakfast! Excellent coffee and fruit, but the star was the cracked conch. So tender and delicious. Very friendly service.

Conch galore!! Glad we stopped there on our way back home at MILE MARK 50. The conch dish was delicious and filling. I recommend the conch piccatta and capri AND the twice baked potato was addictive!!! Our server Mira was nice!

Rude staff. We got there at 8:40 and the waitress told us the kitchen was closing in 3 minutes. So she brought us menus so we could order quickly and then changed her mind and said kitchen was closed. Went to the Hurricane down the street instead. Great food and people and an super fun atmosphere at the Hurricane.

Awesome place in the 50 mile marking. Went there with my Family, after a long day Behinderung the wheel.Seafood was great. Conch, Red Snapper and Shrimps. Everything was delicous. Our waitress was quick ... Both food and feet, and with her wits!Interior is a Bit Run down, but that adds to the character. Will try the breakfast next time!

We had breakfast here as hubby wanted to try fried conch. Me..not so much. I had run of the mill fried eggs and potatoes with toast and bacon. I don’t expect very much for basic breakfast so I was really surprised by the punch of flavor in my potatoes! They were prepared with onions and peppers and properly seasoned! The bacon also had great flavor(could have been crisper but was delish) and so my meal was great. Hubby got fried conch with eggs and potatoes. He said the conch was very good but not something he would get for breakfast in the future..we may come back for lunch tomorrow. Our service was super..really liked the server and staff worked together to make sure our visit was satisfactory. Thank you!!
