If you are in Dover, this is the place to start your mornings, take a break for lunch, or settle back and enjoy a peaceful evening dinner. On our five day trip to visit family, we enjoyed two meals here. Breakfast and lunch helped to make our trip to Dover a most memorable trip. The breakfast for me consisted of scrambled eggs, french toast, and bacon. Simple items but they were darn near perfect! Both visits we were blessed to have excellent service! This place is not to be missed if you are in Dover! Enjoy the wildlife on the mini deck overlooking Silver Lake too! The kids will love it...

This is a lovely place. It has a marvelous view of a lake with geese and ducks. The menu be is German American. I had the chicken snitzel with fried (red) tomatoes. Food was delish!!!

Adorable! And what a beautiful view of Silver Lake! So glad we discovered this quaint and charming place! I'll be back!

The breakfast is always delicious! Unfortunately the dinners have never been as good. Friendly staff love them all. We will be back again for breakfast

Good place for a solid breakfast. Nothing fancy but tasty non the less. The Eggs Benedict was good. The Corned beef hash was decent, definitely canned but did the job.

My eggs Benedict, potatoes and French toast were all delicious! The waitress didn't seem like the friendliest and pretty sure she didn't introduce herself. wait time was fairly quick which I appreciated.

Dining on the water. Very country style restaurant. Make sure you try some corn fritters!

First time to visit. Restaurant quaint and inviting. Seated quickly and beverage orders taken and served. Food was excellent, service friendly. Great experience. Looking forward to our next visit!

Decent place. Made an order that was abnormal and they met it with no worries. I will go back. Food is decent and prices are too.

Not great, but not bad. Be prepared: Loooong wait for breakfast (eggs), over 35 min at 10:30am. Sausage and grits were good. Eggs Benedict cooked well but English muffin needed toasting. OJ was terrible, really pale/thin watered down, didn't even taste like orange. Ordered a replacement but that was only marginally better.Ordered extra sausage when our plates finally arrived, thinking that wouldn't take very long (don't they keep some cooking/ready?) But that took an extra 10 minutes, and we had finished eating by the time it came. Maybe we got them on a bad day, but I honestly wouldn't recommend after this experience. Girl at register was a cutie tho, very pleasant, and ended our meal on a happy note.

Food was good but the waiting area was not very big. The little area we were in was packed so we decided to wait outside right in front of the door. After noticing that people that came after us had been seated we found out that the hostess called our names but didn't check outside so we got bumped down to the bottom of the list and we're forced to wait in the tiny waiting area so as not to be skipped again.

This place is so cozy and lovely. Right by the water. My husband and I went here for breakfast. I guess they serve it all day because it was in the afternoon. I got the cream chipped beef and home fries. Delicious. Very satisfied. The server Ingrid was a lovely person, very nice and on point. Place was clean. We will definitely visit again.
