Cortez Seafood and Cocktail

Just moved into town from DC. Hands down one of my favorite meals ever! This place would be ranked in DC. Absolutely amazing food and cocktails. Service was great. Atmosphere and location above par. Do it!

The seafood dishes are flavorful, unique, and prepared perfectly. Portions are perfect for sharing. Excellent service.

Nothing you are doing will prepare you for the culinary journey you are about to experience. Trust your server. They make fantastic recommendations. Fabulous original and authentic experience!

Cortez is such an awesome place. Terrific vibe, unique cocktails, and well balanced plates. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys seafood even a little. Don't forget dollar oysters between 5-6 daily!

I don't have enough positive to say about Cortez. The food was amazing. The service was on point. The atmosphere was very welcoming. All the plants are unique. This is a great date night spot.

Hands down, Raleigh's best restaurant. Do you see that burger? El Fish Mac! Best GD burger ever. Hand cut fries are outta this world, too. First rate cocktails. Excellent oysters. Try the bread and weed butter. You won't regret it - any of it!

Was really excited to try this place out, and it didn’t disappoint. Half off wine on a Tuesday night was a nice surprise. We had the Ceviche, Lion Fish, and swordfish. It was very well prepared. The carrot cake take on a Great Alaskan for dessert was also really worth it. Very happy with the experience 😄

The food was excellent! I had the grilled whole snapper, and the flavor was wonderful. My wife had swordfish, also very good. Her vegetables were also grilled, her zucchini was almost whole. It was pricier than I expected, e.g. we had to pay for the little basket of bread, then again it was fresh baked, steaming hot, and served with a special butter. The menu online didn't include any desserts, but they had a couple, we shared flan. We sat inside, and it was quite cold, my wife brought a sweater.

So I hear this place is open during this pandemic and taking orders. Even better when you go to a google and see they are offering this coupon for 20% off. You think great!!!..EXCEPT....when you go to order there is nowhere to put the code...? But the coupon also says to show at the store...but when you do..they decline to accept it. Then since it says u can get a gift card 20% off...so you want to buy that then pay for your food. But again..an excuse is given. There are plenty of places that need our money and support right now. If you are going to offer something. Then honor it. Don’t bait us. I no longer desire to try the food.

This is Raleighs premier up and coming restaurant. Everything is fresh, tons of ingredients picked up from the local farmers market daily, and the dishes are meticulously thought through. Cocktails are just as good. All the employees are pleasant and good at their jobs. The vibe at the restaurant is fun and unique, I absolutely love coming here.

Really tasty and diverse menu. The dishes are meticulously prepared and they have a fantastic presentation. The standout of the meal I ate here were the Brussels Sprouts. I'd never thought I'd ever write that sentence but it's true. They really are fantastic. A friend of mine had the ceviche, which came in a close second. The entrees are large in size and we had take home boxes.Dessert was 🔥 as well.

Ceviche and lion fish???? Where can u get that. Delicious food. Friendly service. Highly recommended if you are in Raleigh down town.

Can I give six stars just this once?! This was the best meal we've had in Raleigh-Durham, maybe ever. Great flavors, generous portions, and very helpful staff. The whole bass, and buttered beans and pea dishes were standout favorites. Perhaps the best old fashioned I've ever had, and I've had a few :) Can't wait to go back, and will definitely make sure it is during oyster happy hour!

Great SUN happy hour dollar oysters. Stop by and check out thr great cocktails. Menu changes occasionally as well. Fresh bread with hemp butter was also awesome.
