We dined at Coronato about a month ago. While the pizza was good, it was not great. I had high hopes and was excited to try this style of pizza. We are vegan and rely on the crust to be super flavorful, since we forgo the cheese. Sadly, it just wasn't. I also ordered the arugula salad, which was fine but nothing special. I was ok with the menu pricing, and never have a problem paying for good quality food. My favorite pizza spot in the area remains Pompieri Pizza, but I do plan to give Coronato another try in a few months to see if anything has changed.

Their pizza is delicious. Hands down some of the best artisan pizza I've ever had.

1st time at Coronato. We weren’t disappointed. Staff was attentive and helpful (on the ball) and pizzas were delicious. We hope to go back to try other items on the menu, but we really wanted to check out the thin crust pizzas. I really liked the decor. Clean modern look.

Phenomenal small pizza restaurant that has some great small dishes (would live to eventually try the suppli, gnocchi alla romana, etc). We had marinated olives and a wonderful radicchio salad. The pizzas were also terrific and we had a funghi pizza and special escarole and Italian sausage pizza. The crust was super crunchy and extremely thin which is rather different from the neapolitan style pizzas which are a hair thicker with a note robust crust. We'r also had a wonderful Primitivo wine with our meal, but they have some nice beer and draft alcohol (prosecco, negronis) and handmade cocktails. Convenient parking with a nice lot. Definitely will be back!

Great idea and location. Staff still getting the hang of things on flow and getting food to table for all patrons. A bit "bare" on decor considering the prices are a bit high end. Don't like the tin plates. It will undoubtedly improve with time.

While the food was good it wasn't fantastic. Very helpful and polite wait staff. Unfortunately, it was super difficult to hear the people at my table because it is so loud. The emphasis on authentic Italian pizza is a great attempt. Prosecco on tap!

Saw them on Instagram and knew I needed to check this place out.I was out with my family and we tried to go to a few other places, but we couldn't get a seat for over an hour. When we pulled in to Coronato we were able to get a table imediately. We shared a bag of fries for the table, and everyone got the Rome Tasting menu. The food was fresh and delicious. If you're looking for a new place for tasty pizza, look no further.

Without a doubt they have the best pizza in Washington! Pizza and one of there great salads and you are happy people! Great selection of wine, beer and scotch. Just go don’t think about it!

Astronomically overpriced. Pizza is good (not great), and portions are tiny. I’m good one one or the other, but not both! Pizzas are one-size on thin crust, which is *maybe* good for two not-very-hungry people.

We ate there the other night and the food was good but there is room for improvment. We both felt that the restaurant is having a identity crisis. The prices the overall attitude and the menu selection projects a high end place. The decor, ambiance and servers uniforms do not agree. The other thing was that they do not have many non cocktail drink selections such as soft drinks or iced tea. When i asked the server if there was a plan to add some of these or even a limited bar mix selection he said they only want to focus on local products. That is great however the menu did not reflect that sentiment. As I said before the food was good, we shared a pizza and three fried appetizers, the only thing we would have added is something acidic like a marinara to break up the fat of the fried apps.

The pizza is AMAZING. I'd have to say the best I remember ever having, and I've traveled a fair amount and am a bit of a foodie. I guess part of it is just a matter or personal preference as to what style of pizza you like. I've always preferred thin crust. And I'm happy to pay $15 for one of these masterpieces. The tiramisu was a high quality, but small, and for me too much of the espresso flavor. The cannoli will be next for dessert! We've yet to dine in because our first visit was after the lock down started. People have commented about a lack of ambiance, no pictures on the wall, etc. I would also not like that. It's an easy thing to do, include a few large indoor plants; more people will eat in, and your servers will make more money. OK time to place my order :)
