Cooper's Pub & Restaurant

Coopers Pub and its staff really turned our night around. Had a real bad experience at a nearby restaurant and when we walked into Coopers they greeted us with a smile and had us laughing and having a great time within minutes. Service was outstanding!! Staff super friendly!! They went above and beyond, getting my daughter chips and salsa (even though it wasn't on the menu) because we were not served food at the last restaurant. Class act! Great music and atmosphere!! Highly recommend.

Chill spot, somewhat off the beaten path. Live music in the back patio. Heated and great atmosphere.

Only giving three stars because the service was great. Our server was a super nice lady. Definitely not the best fish and chips in town... The food was two star quality.

I and friends stopped by for some drinks. Bartender Mark is highly knowledgable and really funny. Ask about the local area. Great beers are to be found here. Sorry did not try the food

I last came back to this place when it was called "Bullwhackers".I met the owner and he was very friendly, offered us window seating.Atmosphere is that of a pub, conveniently located on Cannery Row.I had the fish & chips (pictured below) which was a hearty serving of Icelandic cod. Fish was flaky and cooked well.Additionally we had the crab cakes, flavorful with cripy exterior and a tasty sauce that accompanied the dish.Overall well worth the visit! Will come again when we return.

Food was delicious, and a fair price and portion for the area. Nice service too, but my favorite part had to be the live musicon the heated patio. A wonderful nook for drifting away into the evening.

We had the Fish & Chips, a wedge salad and some popcorn shrimp. Everything was good. Service was good.

The service was excellent, and the dining area comfortable, although the booths are a little tight if you are a large person. We ordered the calamari appetizer, cottage pie, steak and mushroom pie, and the kids had fish and chips and chicken strips. The calamari was exactly what you might expect, if perhaps a little overcooked.The chicken strips and fries were badly overcooked.The fried fish was sizeable and tasty.The cottage pie was skimpy on the filling, though the gravy was rich and delicious when you could get it.The steak and mushroom pie has a separately cooked crust layed beside it, and is essentially stew served in a ramekin. The flavor is fine, but I was disappointed it wasn't a proper pie.The steamed veggies were served in excellent portions, but were very soft and bland, as though they had been oversteamed.In the context of the price I found the experience underwhelming, although I understand that being on cannery row has an impact on costs.

Great English pub with an assortment of local beers. If possible try their pot pies, they are amazing!

Food was meh. Beer was meh. For nearly $30 for a beer and a meal, this was super basic bar food that bordered on bland. Good service tho.
