Service was excellent! Server was attentive and prompt. The wine list was delicious. The food was amazing! One of my new favorites.

What a delicious French restaurant! The dishes offered here are all authentic, and our server was so helpful in giving advice on the dishes.

Long overdue review of what has become my favorite restaurant in DC. I come down to DC every few months for business and make it a point to try to visit Convivial as much as my schedule allows. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and relaxing. The food is out of this world delicious. It is complex without being pretentious and the breadth of the menu satisfies my cravings for rich, light, savory, or sweet depending on my mood. Chef Cedric has been at the restaurant on nearly every one of my visits and seems to make it a point to say hello to diners. I can't recommend Convivial enough

Food was good. Service was ok. My order was placed incorrectly and the waiter said that I ordered something I didn't and was a bit snippy about it. Thankfully everyone at my table heard what I actually ordered and corrected him. Would have rather not had to defend myself during a business dinner with colleagues.

Great experience during restaurant week. Service and food (onion soup and sea bass) was delicious. Dessert (chocolate mousse) was decent but not special. Service was great and a great table and vibe. Will return.

Here for their special bar happy hour. They have a wonderful collection of drinks and small plate items. I would definitely go back.

Roasted cauliflower is so flavorful 😍 and the beet sauce is beautiful shade of magenta. Anything you order here is magnificent, they incorporate herbs so artistically.

We had a fantastic experience here. My daughter had a birthday, we came as a party of 7. Everyone loved everything. I've had mussels, there were tasty, my wife had skate wing, which was also great!

Lovely French bistro. All the classics you would expect (onion soup, escargot, cassoulet, ...) plus other French-inspired originals. Classy but relaxed feel and attentive service.

They have a great happy hour. The bartending is exceptional and it's always nice and quiet. I also really like their brunch. This is a good bet if you enjoy French and Mediterranean food!

The food was great! I enjoyed their crispy chicken sandwich and my rosé was lovely. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Brunch menu was pared down, but the items we got were delicious. The brunch cocktails were excellent and service was very professional. My husband and I enjoyed this little neighborhood gem. Great for a weekend brunch date or a celebration.

This place is packed so make a reservation and don't expect to be seated early. For the appetizers I HIGHLY recommend the burrata, I had never had a bell pepper carpaccio but it goes well with the fresh cheese. For the main course the steak, trout, and bouillabaisse are all quite tasty!
