Congee Queen

One of the smaller restaurants, but it is clean, fast service and staff are friendly. Food is great and portions are decent for the price. Could use a reno to bring it up to standards of the other restaurants.

This spot provides first-rate service and delightful menu. My favourite restaurant in the city. The food and drinks arrived quickly and the prices were affordable. Will definitely recommend this place.

The food was decent and stuff, the food came fast and the servings are large. The issue was that the server was more than inattentive to say the least. Rude. I already paid with tips towards the end of the meal, and then I noticed that a rice dish came with a long strand of hair at the bottom. The waitress picked it up and blatantly started to stare at my head for comparison of the hair. Well clearly, it’s not my hair. What’s more, all I demanded was an apology and all I got was the waitress rudely dropping off the money on our table, she did not apologize and just kept telling me that she needed to make sure that it wasn’t me scamming them. 1. I already paid and 2. I never asked for the money back. In the end, the money was not an issue, but the attitude ruined what’s otherwise a happy afternoon.

Never a bad meal here. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait depending when you go, but it moves fairly quickly as they turn over tables pretty fast. It’s a staple for me and my friends & family. Food comes out quickly, fresh & hot & consistently delicious everytime. I’ve been to all the other Congee Queens but this one is our go-to. Great service, lots of parking, easy to access & there’s a Chatime a few doors down if you feel like bubble tea afterwards.

Such good food and really great prices. One of the few affordable restaurants in the area. Their congee is always delicious and portion sizes are great. There's usually a bit of a wait to get seated, but service is very fast with getting the food to your table.

This is my go-to location. Service is standard but the roast duck rice combo is always good. The fried turnip cakes are a must!

Fried Garoupa, vegetable fried rice and Deep fried sea bass in secret sauce are to die for! The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity as well.

Went and to my surprise the place was near empty. I cant recall a time I've been when there wasn't a wait time of usually 30 minutes or so.Anyway, sat down at a table for party of 10. The service was horrible. Despite having only 4 tables of customers and about 6 service staff standing around, no one was interested in taking or order. This type of service continued all night long. Near impossible to get their attention and they didnt come around once after the food came to clear empty plates or ask us if we needed anything else. Even when we tried to call them, that was a challenge. Food was good to decent but the part that Turn me off the most is when a waitress sneezed and didn't even cover her mouth and just wiped it on her arms. At a time when a new flu virus Has everybody on the alert you would think that they would take extra care to make sure they practiced hygiene and sanitation. Now I know why it was so empty.

Great food, as always. If your heart can take it, get the salt & pepper deep fried squid. Service is usually good, but not as good as the food. I usually do take out, but my last dine in experience almost saw us walk out, as my very pregnant wife and I were seated quickly during a non-busy time but ignored for probably 15-20 minutes afterwards, while newer customers were served their meals before we even got water. A rarity, but still, don't be too surprised if it happens.Is it worth the risk? Oh yeah 😁

The mince beef egg white soup is my favourite soup. My Go-To place to place order the Chinese food delivery. Highly recommended.

Great food and place to bring the whole family. Large menu servings! Very reasonable prices. Fast service. Gets crowded, noisy and long lineups during weekends and peak dinning hours. Highly recommended.

Prices have increased and the quantity is not the same... we ordered Beef with Chinese Broccoli however only broccoli stems are provided - not even one leaf. Also ordered General Tso chicken and at least half the container was just filler - small pieces of western broccoli with carrots and onions. Everything tasted great but very apparent cut backs based on previous orders.
