Finest spot to have something when in a hurry. Their customer service is prompt, rates are affordable, fantastic mood. I highly recommend this place

My wife and I love Community Tavern. We often sit at the bar and split a few things that Chef Beato has prepared and sample one of Rachel's new cocktails. Brenna Beato greets us with a smile and we are again having another memorable evening. You know that warm feeling you have when everything is going right? That's how we feel at Community! Drive, take a cab, or Uber over because this is a destination place no matter where you live! In fact I found out that a friend came here from downstate because of my recommendation on Facebook and she loved it. Always call for reservations because it does get busy and they do have special events. (Check those out too!) And ask for recommendations on food, wine and cocktails because they all are very knowledgeable!

Great food, amazing cocktails and knowledgeable servers. Kids eat free Tuesday - Thursday so get that family to Community!

Nice place, great food, pleasant stuff

We live in the Portage Park and 6 Corners neighborhood, and Community is our favorite dining option. We love the Smoked Trout Belly, Grilled Cauliflower, and Short Rib. We just recently tried the Grilled NY Strip and the duck fat washed Old Fashioned and both were excellent. I highly recommend Community to anyone that enjoys this great food and drink!

Nice neighborhood spot, great addition for Portage Park. The cheeseburger may be one of the best in Chicago! Great staff and mixed drinks.

Fantastic food, great service. We went for the New Zealand wine pairing evening and it was absolute spot on. Great wine and food food. Will definitely be back.

This spot is such a gem in Portage Park. The food is some of the best I've had anywhere in the city. The food is delicious, presentation gorgeous, and service is exceptional. The menu is good for carnivores to vegans and every accomodation in between. The staff is so friendly and goes out of their way to make your visit a happy one. Skip the crowds and cooler-than-thou attitude of the West Loop and come to Community instead.

I adore this place very much. It has a romantic air. The meals are wonderful. the service is efficient and the team is trained. The cost is decent. very much recommend.

Great food we got kimchi fries the beef tartare and the dumblings , rude waiter but the food was excellent

Doesn't look like much from the outside but very warm and welcoming inside. Attended a private event here last weekend and the food was really special. The Sunchoke Bisque was was so good it would have been well served at a Michelin stared restaurant. The food was great and there were a number of great Gluten Free meals available. The Staff were really helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere. Looking forward to going again.

Very cozy, atmospheric place. The food is great and interesting combinations. It is clearly marked whether it's gluten free or vegan. The drinks are interesting and there's a good wine and beer list. Friendly staff and good music that isn't too loud.

We recently had a change of plans when the hotel restaurant we had booked ended up with such loud music that we could not have a conversation. Thankfully the concierge steered us toward Pelago. I have some food challenges, (gluten free, lactose free) and this chef was a genius. He made a GF pasta with truffles that melted in our mouths! The entrees were beautifully prepared as well, and we were even graced with a GF anniversary treat to top it all off. Service was friendly and gracious. We'll be back!

Our visit to the Community Tavern was fantastic. The staff was very friendly, the booze selection appealed to my tastes, and to food was genuinely fantastic.It's unfortunate that I'm not local because this is a place I will return to.
