Fantastic food and such friendly and lovely service and all at a good price. The pancakes were so lovely and the strawberry milkshakes that I had were amazing the best I've ever had. So much food portion wise we were all unable to eat it all and set us all up for our day walking around New York.

I went with The The Comfort Diner w/truffle oil, chicken, bacon, hot dog, and The Comfort Diner . Also topped it with the short rib. The short rib was Emalla, on the dry side, so I'd The Comfort Diner pass next time around. Overall the dish was good, semi-creamy, and the truffle oil was a nice touch. What is nice is that It was a pretty heavy dish, so I was only able to finish half and boxed up the rest

Pretty classic NYC diner with charming parody covers of children's classics on the wall and traditional booths. The food is the only reason I didn't give a five star rating -- it's decently good but not the reason to.come here by itself. Service is friendly and professional, but you'll wait for a while for your food. Still, worth going!

We stayed in a hotel nearby and we ate 3 times for the breakfast there. The staff is nice, the food is good (big quantity.)

This place has some true diner elements including being about as thin as an actual train car, but don’t let that stop you from getting a true NYC diner experience. The meal value was not bad at all. Some improvements could lie within having a place for guests to seat while they wait for the rest of their party to arrive since they will not seat incomplete parties despite the fact that they easily could when we were there. Also they do not let you get a to go cup of a bottomless beverage which was a huge turn off and quite frankly made no sense what so ever.

Great atmosphere at this diner. Very classic looking and feeling diner. There aren't many good old ones, i hope this never closes.Good warm food, quick service, comfortable seats, and the decor is great. The funny artwork, and the clean, art deco style interior. it's great, from a long gone era.

I came here for lunch after checking out of the Vanderbilt YMCA and it was great. The selection on the menu is pretty vast and they have plenty of options for vegetarians and gluten free options. If you want classic diner food in Manhattan just minutes from Grand Central Station, then this is the place to go.

Great food and service. A little TLC needed to freshen up the decor but that's it

Awesome Breakfast !! May be the best I've had. Very nice Egyptian family (hope that's right). Spoke with the owner, she was terrific. First-class food offerings. A little line to get in, but that tells you something at 8 am on a Sunday morning, but really, well worth it. A+

Looking for a typical American diner? This is your place to go! Even though the furniture looks a bit outdated (dont even want to mention the restrooms) the food totally makes up for it! Red White Blue waffles are definitely a good choice, with all the fresh fruit. Maybe even better is the French toast along with the banana and roasted pecans. Try it!!The place can be really busy in the morning, some of the staff were a bit cranky.

Nicely styled American Diner, close to Grand Central but not on a crowded street. The staff were super friendly and efficient, the menu was the usual broad diner options, and the food itself was generous and tasty. The one downside is the place is very much split between the front and back. While they're both a similar look, the back is near the kitchen and therefore much hotter, but also (maybe just our bad luck) more dimly lit. The front seemed airier and lighter as well as a more comfortable temperature.

I seldom if ever give 5 stars to a restaurant. This place is a real treat for anyone wanting to experience the true American breakfast/lunch/diner. We had burgers (the sliders for the kids), the “all year round Thanksgiving meal” and the meatloaf and my oh my, they didn’t lie when stating this would be better than your mother’s. It indeed was, and much more! The staff was real nice too as we discussed how immigration has built and is still shaping America. The whole family (from 1 to 11) loved it. My favorite in NYC for sure (so far).
