Colton's Steak House & Grill

Arrived 3/4 hour early for our booking on Christmas day in order to have a relaxing drink in the bar. After 10 minutes was told by the acting deputy manager, Geoffrey that our table was booked for a second sitting and we would need to vacate by 3.We actually had a brilliant meal, could not fault it at all and the service was fantastic but all the time in the back of my mind was the fact that we had to be out by 3. We would normally have stayed for cocktails but decided to have these at home instead.

As always, service good and attentive. It's a nice short walk about 7 minutes, from the Thames Riviera hotel and a real treat. Not overly priced but on the higher end because of the quality, excellent steaks, 30 and 50 day matured. I had a fillet, perfectly seasoned and cooked. There are various chips to choose from, so had the standard and also the beef dripping square chunks of chips. The side salad is literally a wedge of iceberg lettuce with a fab range of dressings. There is a winter special menu for 1 to 3 courses. They serve good ale, a great range of wines and all in a perfectly lit restaurant. It is welcoming and comfortable and you are not rushed. Two starters, two steaks, upgraded fries, a pint of bitter shandy, glass of red wine, a pudding and 2 coffees. £77.00. There are fish a vegetarian options available.

Love this place but my last visit the service was a bit slow but still great food
