Colonial Pancake House

Found this on Google search and they had some good reviews so I tried it. Definitely was not disappointed with the food or service. Will come back if in the VA area again. Thank you.

Run of the mill breakfast place. Came in from the road, hungry. Service was not too great and our food, turkey club and a tuna melt, was just ho-hum. We’re tourists here but based on the colonial costuming of some of the patrons you know locals eat here. Maybe we just caught it at a lousy time of day. Anyway, three stars at best.

Loved it! The very berry pancakes were the very berry best! Ms. Yolanda was a fantastic waitress.

One of my favorite breakfast restaurants. Never had a bad experience here. The staff are friendly and helpful. There seems to be a chicken theme, and there are some really cute ones all over the restaurant. Plenty of parking behind and beside the restaurant. Also a nice hotel next-door.

Had a great experience. Food was great and for the amount of people we had in our group, the waitress got to us all in a timely manner and was very courteous

We had great service. Or waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and portions were generous. The coffee was never ending! I had the 2+2+2 pancakes, eggs-scrambled and bacon. Those eggs were cooked perfectly. Around the table of 7 there was for happiness ☺️

Today was our first visit, and I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. We were greeted by I'm assuming the manager or the owner, the gentleman greeted us very nicely and sat us down within about a minute of walking in the door. They have adorable state of Virginia maps as their place mats which I found really cute. Our waitress Alexis was very nice! They had been a little busy, but she wasn't stressed and let us take our time. She made sure we had everything we needed. The other waitstaff was very friendly as well. The food was on our table about 10 minutes after ordering; the food was definitely fresh and made well, definitely not like going to IHOP, which is awesome! I will definitely be back!

Very good place to have breakfast! It did seem understaffed even though we went after the breakfast rush.

My wife and I took our kids here today. We loved it. The food was great. The restaurant was cute with a country kind of theme to it. I ordered one of the house specialty breakfasts. It came with bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, a slice of ham and home style potatoes. I definitely recommend.

We chose colonial pancake house out of the plethora of pancake houses in the area to eat at this morning. Our server Delondra (guessing at the spelling) was a delight, and was quick with the coffee!!! The food came out fairly quickly, and was hot. Now for the food, the eggs were awesome cooked to perfection, bacon nice and crispy!!! The pancakes were about 8 inch in diameter and were light fluffy and delicious. If you are looking for flavored pancakes the apple pie pancakes are topped with apple pic filling, ice cream and whip cream all on top. Which we had one closer to home would love to co.e.back

Love Colonial Pancake House! The food here is very good. Do wish they served a non-dairy alternative for their coffee creamer instead of just milk or half and half. That leaves people like me who are lactose intolerant and don't like their coffee black unable to order coffee. Other than that this place is perfect!

Breakfast, service and other staff are amazing! My sister in law and my brothers love the breakfast here, so had to give it a try. Yolanda was our server, she is really nice! Also, the next day, we ordered breakfast to go and Yolanda coincidentally took care of our carryout order. Thank you Yolanda!

Pancakes were great. And the healthy option - turkey and eggs white muffin - was awesome, loads of flavour and felt good for me
