Cocotte

This place is awesome. The food was on point and the people who work there were some of the loveliest people I have found at a restaurant in NY. We wound up getting two items off of their specials list that night. The wine options were delicious and the bar tender was knowledgeable. We sat at the bar. Where we sat was definitely not meant to be a seat (the counter provided no leg room on that side of the bar and we got hit by people who passed), but they offered to move us once another seat opened. We loved sitting with the bar tender and had great conversation (which was not forced for those who would prefer not to). There is a sort of unofficial coat check behind the bar you can ask them about, which was necessary for where we sat. Anyway, I highly recommend this place. It was just a cozy, high quality and authentic french restaurant. Completely satisfying. It is great for a date or a fancy night out with a small group.

Cocotte is a nice French-Basque restaurant, serving tasty food in a cozy setting. Service is polite and efficient.The food is consistently good. Most recently I enjoyed their chorizo mushrooms and cod dinner.

Small, cozy spot with great food. We stopped for lunch and had the burger and the basque ham & cheese. We were blown away by how good the meal was. The cocktails and service were good too!

Amazingly delicious authentic French cuisine in an intimate setting. Very well versed waitresses with compact menu - not too few and not too many options. We had the beouf and the Amish chicken, both suuper delicious, fresh and well seasoned. Get that French toast as dessert!! ( only served on Sundays as dessert!)

I loved it! An intimate atmosphere, amazing service (refilled bread and water constantly) and food I am still dreaming off. Perfect spot for a date night or anniversary celebration!

Start to finish... spectacular!Great cozy spot, with excellent service...and delicious menu and wine list. Wanted to eat our way through entire menu. Portions are perfect for individual and sharing. We opted for sharing so we could sample several items. Everything we ate was amazing and tasty. They get packed quickly after 6:30pm, so you may want to make reservations. Small, cozy, romantic atmosphere. Service was friendly, prompt and very knowledgeable. Not a dessert gal, as those of you who follow my reviews know, but the lemon tart was spot on. The salted caramel was good too, but too much sugar for me. Good thing we split all that. Go, enjoy, eat up... I am putting this on my replay list ASAP!

Cute little space with very friendly waiters. We went there around 3 they still had the brunch menu. It was delicious, but not memorable, maybe we will try going there for dinner.

This place is worth trying. They serve big portions for reasonable prices. Constantly well organized and with awesome vibes. Would recommend to others.

Cocotte is the type of neighborhood restaurant that you will crave coming back to again and again. Excellent food, charming service, and a noticeably handsome staff will keep your spirits high. They have reopened (05/2020) for takeout and delivery - treat yourself to a respite from the house with a visit to this local titan.

An amazing restaurant - the food was amazing (especially the squid ink risotto). The cocktails were also good, and the atmosphere was cozy and modern without being crowded! Staff were also extremely friendly

Cocotte is a sophisticated neighborhood Basque-influenced French restaurant with amazing ambiance. I have been eating there regularly for about a year, and the food is invariably perfectly executed and beautifully presented. The staff is warm and lovely. This is a perfect location for a date night, or for Saturday afternoon brunch. They have recently reopened for takeout and delivery with a delicious menu of taloa & patatas (Basque tacos), burgers, coffee, tea and sweets like zucchini bread and lemon tarts, as well as of course a variety of wines, beers and cocktails. This place is a true neighborhood gem that I am thrilled to see open again.
