Homey curry feel that would be your gateway drug to Japanese Curry

Great personal curry, only for curry fans.

Delicious curry plates at very reasonable prices. Located underneath the NS building in Shinjuku it's a quaint and nice place to have lunch or dinner.

Good tasting curry with lots of customizability.

Great curry for the price, they have an English menu. You do have to select amount of rice and spiceness level. Would say even the mildest has a little kick to it so don't go mad here unless you are used to spice

Best curry in all of Japan...period! Yea Yea, I know...there are probably more upscale options for curry here but this place is the best I’ve had. From Okinawa to Tokyo...this is the best!

This is a hidden gem. Most Cocos are located right in the middle of high pedestrian traffic. So it gets crazy busy. But this one is tucked into a corner halfway to basement you will only realise when you are heading down from the stairs. The curry is eye-opening in the amount of customisation that can be had. I have since for-gone the standard combinations and just go with my own. They do have an English menu do look out for it. First you pick a meat based curry, it's spice level (I went to 2 without breaking a sweat although I can tolerate the heat I din want to spoil the dish by overwhelming the senses), the amount of rice (i chose lesser since carb light is good and it's cheaper too), then you add toppings (I love cheese, pork cutlet, Onsen egg, okra/yam combination). What's your favourite combination of toppings?

Appalling service. Staff don't understand basic Japanese.

Delicious curry. The spice level 2 is actually very spicy but it may be too spicy for most people since I would consider that more than a medium spice. English menu and you can get it as takeout. They separate the curry sauce and the rice so it doesn't get soggy.

The salad was fresh and the sesame dressing was delicious. The curry was hearty but a bit monotonous and a bit high on starch. The coffee was just OK. Not too bad for a chain restaurant... ok in a pinch.

When in Japan on holiday you cannot beat this curry house chain for really delicious food

Went here specifically because I had a kid in tow, and NONE of the kids' sets were available.I usually love Coco, but part of that is dependability and kid friendliness.
