Claim Jumper has really gone down over the years. We went here with another couple. We ordered drinks which took forever and we then ordered appetizers before our entire. 30 minutes went by and some guy comes to us and brings us our salad. Our waitress was not intentive at all. We told the waiter nicely that we were still waiting for our appetizers and wanted to enjoy them before the soup or salad. He gave a a cocky look and was very rude. When the food did come out it was cold and our friend had ordered a beer which he ended up cancelling because it never arrived. Horrible service and we will never go back.

Great Country fare food. Everything tasted great and they give big helpings so be prepared to take some home. We got the onion rings and artichoke dip for appetizers, both were good but onions were better. I was going to get the country fried steak but found out the gravy uses pork so I ended up going with the sunrise burger which was still pretty good. Wife got the chicken loaded baked potato which she liked as well. Topped it all of with the mother Load chocolate cake. This thing is huge. Can easily be shared with like 6 people. Staff was friendly and place was clean and well kept. I would suggest to fried and family.

There are several places to choose from in the area. But, if you are looking for satisfying and filling food with desserts to die for, this is the place. Service and Management are so kind and helpful.

We used to eat at Claim Jumper when we lived on the west coast and had great memories about their food and atmosphere. We noticed that there was a location here in IL and went there for dinner- it was beyond disappointing! The service we received was terrible. The waiter seemed unhappy and did not know too much about the menu. The worst part was the food... I ordered their Jambalaya and it was terrible! It had very little flavor and was served on top of thick noodles instead of rice. I could not eat more than a couple of bites. The only thing I enjoyed was the appetizers and drinks (thus the 2/5 stars).I'm not sure if the franchise is falling off or if it was just this location... but I would not recommend this place. There are many other options nearby with better service and better food.

So Claim Jumpers is that restaurant you meet with friends or a nice dinner date! Menu is pretty big on selection and can be tricky when trying to decide what to order. Food is delicious and service is usually good as well. I would come here more often but it is on the pricey side. Typically it runs around $80+ for two and thats without alcoholic drinks. Have had my share of ups and downs though with the wait time for the food to come out, once it took about an hour for two entrees! An hour is excessive!! Ok yes its busy but an hour wait just sitting there with anticipation is horrible!!! Brunch at this location is just ok, I usually take a drive to the Lombard location, just a much better Sunday brunch!! Similar items but quality seems better in Lombard.

Haven't been here since it opened. Had bad experience then. Went last night to meet friends for dinner. Out of six dinners none were prepared correctly. They must have been made and sat on the serving station forever. Four steaks that were supposed to be medium rare were dried up and overdone from sitting too long. The side dishes were ice cold. Two prime rib dinners ordered medium were rare. None of us wanted to complain in fear of embarrassing our friend that picked this place. So a$300.00 dinner was a complete disappointment. Do not waist your time or money going here.

Franchise, but a fairly good one. Been to a couple locations and experienced consistent service, interesting menu, and pretty good food matching the better than average presentation. Try getting the calamari grilled, not fried...

What a place! The atmosphere is rustic and old, but it has a modern feel. The food was slightly under seasoned all around, but I think the atmosphere and friendly service make up for where the food was lacking. Would recommend.

We had 5:30pm reservations on 2-1-20. We were not seated until 15 minutes after our time. Which we understand since they were busy. However we sat for quite awhile before the waitress came over. It took along time to get our drinks. And even longer for us to order an appetizer. The appetizer took almost a half hour to get to us and The waitress had not come back to take our food order. We did have a toddler with us so we wanted to get him some food. We came here for my birthday and I was extremely disappointed with the service and food. The best thing besides the cocktails was the pretzel. All in all we were here over 2 hours. Don’t go unless you have a lot of time to spend here. All prices on the website and prices on the menu Do Not matchPrices are less expensive on the web site.

We ordered and sat for about an hour for two burgers. We said something and they checked, then said it would be out in a minute. My hamburger was barely warm and my husband's was cold. The fries were hot. They sat in their window, got cold, they replaced the cold fries and served it. Will never go back.

Porterhouse steak was very tasty and no fat. Service was good but the server did not bring bread to the tabke with our soup and salad, had to ask. I like bread wirh the pre dinner soup and salad items.

While visiting Chicago, my goal was to try a variety of restaurants that were not 'tourist-driven'... and Claim Jumper is definitely a hidden gem!We were promptly greeted by the hostess and had the pleasure of being seated in Megan's section. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Stuffed Baked Potato. Properly seasoned and filled with chicken and veggies... it was absolutely delicious. As a Travel Consultant, I will recommend Claim Jumper to my clients and colleagues who visit the Chicago metro area.
