Best place to get ice cream in Bar Harbor. Forget the overcrowded tourist trap down the street. This place has REALLY good flavors(get the "I'm not sure yet") and reasonable prices (for Bar Harbor). They have a lot of people working the counter so even if it looks like there's a line, they quickly serve customers.

This place is always poppin in the summer time. The service is good as well as the ice cream. Sometimes it can be pretty hectic in there but it is still a good place to grab ice cream and then go to the park across the street afterwards!

Very good ice cream with lots of different flavors. The one scoop was definitely enough for one person. I got the turtle caramel and it was delicious!

I've had ice cream in very many places on multiple continents, and CJ's is EASILY the best ice cream I've ever had.The Black Raspberry Disaster is arguably the best flavor, but you cannot go wrong with what you pick. Rare is it to find an ice cream place that makes you willing to drive multiple hours to get to, but CJ's is exactly that.Highly recommended for your first day in town, your second, third, and every day thereafter.

It wasn't the greatest ice cream I ever had, but they did have some unique flavors for the region and the staff was excellent at getting orders done and completed. There was a line of around 20 people when we walked in and it took only about two or three minutes to get everyone, including us, through the line and out the door with our ice cream.

The ice cream is great but the staff is very rude. The guy who was supposed to take our order had no patience for our question on the various flavors and made rude comments about how busy he was and how he did not have time for us and our kids.I would not recommend the place, even though the ice cream was ok, not great. I hope our experience is not typical. The service was 1 star, the ice cream 4 star, so I am being fair and giving the place 3 stars. While there was a line, we went yesterday to mount desert ice cream yesterday which had better tasting ice cream and a lot more patience.

Decadent. So many options. Classic cones/bowls, sundaes, sandwiches, etc. To die for. Great staff. Friendly and helpful.

This place is just amazing. No matter how long the line is, make sure you wait it out to get the ice creams.The raspberry disaster is AMAZING. It is easily one of the best ice creams I have ever had.I wish they would let you try more than 3 flavors though .. really limited us from getting more ice creams.
