Civetta Italian Kitchen + Bar

We came here on our 3rd wedding anniversary for takeout! We were not disappointed. Very nice manager/hostess greeted us! He wanted to make sure that we had a good waiting experience. The man at the bar was not friendly at all. That is why I didn’t give this place five stars. The food was so awesome! It’s exactly the food that I’ve been wanting for a long time. I would definitely go back when I’m in Charlotte.

We took friends from out of town to Civetta's; had a terrific meal. Our server, Sam, made great suggestions and paired me with a red wine that was delicious. The calamari as well as the Brussels sprouts appetizers made the start of the meal delightful. Great service, food and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.

The Bolognese gnocchi was heavenly! Seriously the best of this type of dish I've ever had. The sauce and flavor and texture was amazing. The caprese and garlic bread was also great. I'm very happy this restaurant moved here

Service was great and the menu had a lot of good options to choose from. Food came out quickly and exactly how we ordered. The salmon was very good and cooked perfectly.

The bartender, Rudy, was so attentive and helpful with menu/cocktail suggestions. I enjoyed my appetizers and had a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be coming back for dinner with friends.

SHRIMP & CAPELLINI - The CAPELLINI was a step above anything I have had in the US. The pasta was freshly made at CIVETTA and was cooked perfectly. Not stiff, not stiff, not soggy, not bought.The shrimp was seasoned delicately but perfectly, not greasy or oily. Really excellent. The flavor was really excellent Italian food. Definitely the best Italian I gave had in Charlotte. SICILIAN LASAGNA - I tasted the sauce first and it was smooth and flavorful, not too bold. The veal and beef was finely ground and I the texture was pleasing to the tongue. Very delightful when compared to typical ground meats. Again the home made freshness of the ricotta and mozzarella makes an incredible difference.I will definitely be back.EVAN, our server is a professional.

First time visit tonight. I made reservations because it was close and convenient to the movie theater. Wow, I was impressed! This location has changed quite a few times over the years, different restaurants. I don’t know who owns or runs this establishment but all I can say is all the food and drinks were top notch and highest quality. Keep up the good work and I hope your around for a long time.

Don't expect to be in a hurry if you choose to eat at this restaurant. Went for lunch and took too long to get entree. Server made an excuse and said kitchen got busy, but there was only a total of 8 tables in the restaurant. Food tasted good but was cold when we received it. I expected to have hot steaming food as long as it took to get it. Lunch prices where a little expensive. I cost for lunch is what I would have normally paid for dinner at other restaurants for the type of food we chose.

Apps we're on point, drinks were good to great, entrees fell a bit flat vs. the apps. Service was really good, I'd go back and give it another shot on the entrees

Service was great, love the look and atmosphere and the food was amazing as well! Definitely recommend ordering the garlic bread because its the best you will ever have. My husband loved the chicken parmesan and I really enjoyed my pasta dish which was their twist on vodka pasta (without the vodka).

Delicious food and amazing atmosphere! Visited on New Years Eve and decided to sit at the bar instead of waiting for a table. So glad we did! We were waited on by Tiffany and Lissa, two bartenders. They made us feel so welcomed and all of their recommendations were spot on. Also, they were so friendly and super amazing! We will definitely be back!!!

Came here for restaurant week, where they did a 2 appetizer and 1 entree menu. The food was all quite good; everyone in our party was completely satisfied and completely stuffed by the end. This is the type of place that could both be a good date place or for families. The decor was homey but still nice. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating!

We’ve been here multiple times and every experience has been spot on! The food is delicious and looks absolutely beautiful when it’s served. The service is nothing short of excellent; the servers are knowledgeable and kind. We’re so happy to have an original, gorgeous, tasty restaurant in this shopping center, with outdoor seating to boot. We will continue to enjoy meals here!

Lunch - I had a quick lunch at Civetta and it was Ok. Ordered the meatball appetizer and the meatballs were a bit gummy, but good. The Flatbread (like a Margherita Pizza) that I ordered was definitely more of a flatbread than a pizza. It was ... "Ok". That said, my wife really enjoyed her salad. We will definitely return to try a dinner and get a better "feel" for the place.
