Maybe I should have ordered tenders instead of a tender sandwich, because the 8 people that ordered After me were served before I finally got the attention of the server to inquire about my sandwich...obviously, a mistake in the order. I had ordered the Lemon Thyme sandwich...tenders, shredded lettuce, nixed the pickles, lemon thyme dressing..the sandwich was OK by today's chicken-sandwich standards...but the dressing was very watery...the fries were covered in parmesan, pepper, salt and parsley...it looked like a lot of fluff for a French Fry but I was surprised at the flavor, tasty. It looked like everyone else was enjoying their food...so I'll go back someday and try the tenders...maybe revisit & rerate the review!

The food was very tasty and very "trendy". The service was also very good. Just a little too pricey for me. Would go back again though.

Love these tenders. They are so tender and have a little spice to them.. The city sauce or the hot honey are great for dipping.

The 4 chicken tenders and fries combo were incredible! The chicken was super juicy and tender, and the specialty sauce pairs well, and the fries are more than ordinary fries! I’d highly recommend stopping here if you are passing through Cincinnati

So here's me two cents on CityBird, I really wanted to like it. I stopped in tonight and got a 4 piece chicken with fries, a side of slaw just to try it, and both the city sauce and the honey Dijon just to try it. The portion was unbelievably small just like everyone else said, however it was really good. Super tender and seasoned great. The sauces were fine. The fries were so salty that I couldn't eat most of them. I didn't like the slaw at all it had too many coarse veggies in it and a lot of vinegar. The employee who helped me was also pretty rude. I changed my mind and asked to also order a lemonade with my order and he literally said no words to me, rang it up took my card then handed me the cup so I had to stick my fingers in it to take it from him. Also it wasn't busy so that wasn't the issue. Also it was like $13 for the meal which is a lot for what I got. It was overall pretty mediocre and I won't be back.

Ate there for a late lunch after being impressed with them when they first opened. We showed up at like 3:30 and everything was fine with the person taking our order. We ordered a 6 and an 8 piece chicken tender meal. The food came out within 3 minutes, but the chicken was lukewarm, rubbery and didn’t taste at all fresh. Tasted like it had been sitting for 30 minutes. The sauces were good, and the fries were fresh and hot which was the only saving grace about this meal. Even the Coke was off on carbonation a bit. It was very fizzy at the fountain but flat at the table. Surprised this place is owned by the same group as The Senate and Bakersfield, it is not the same quality.

Chicken was moist and delicious, the fries are crispy and just how I like them. The sauces were great too. The tenders are "small" because they're not using chickens pumped with antibiotics to make them grow artificially large. It's clear from the comments that most people here have no idea what size chickens actually are when they are raised in an ethical manner

The tenders are definitely moist, and a lot more natural/homemade looking and tasting than a place like Raising Canes. They are a bit small (1-2" wide by 4-6" long), but 4 tenders is the appropriate size meal for one person. Fries are very thin and loaded with parmesan, but otherwise pretty typical. Honey Dijon dipping sauce is tasty. Side salad is huge with lots of good green things. Overall, it was a little pricey, but it tasted good and more natural than fastfood. I'd come again every so often.

Tenders were cooked well and tasted good. Fries were seasoned well and crispy. I tried the city sauce, jalapeno, and hot honey. The jalapeno and hot honey were good but their house sauce was not better than any other tender restaurants. Also, the tenders are hilariously small. I could see it doing well as an overpriced small lunch downtown but not suitable for people in the suburbs looking for a full meal at a fair price.

I have tried Spicy Bird Sandwich, it is good and juicy. CityBird is owned by THUNDERDOME, they own BAKERSFIELD, MAPLEWOOD, CURRITO, SOHI, The EAGLE, PEPP & DOLORES and KRUEGER’S.

A colleague, my wife, and I stopped in for lunch. I had heard good things and was hungry, so I was looking forward to the food. The interior of the restaurant was clean with a minimal design. We were initially a little put-off when we entered. There was a ladder blocking what appeared to be the queue. There were two people filling out paperwork, presumably seeking employment, and one gentleman eating. We stood at the front, unsure if the restaurant was open and taking orders. A few other people came in and also questioned whether it was open. A cashier finally beckoned and people made their way to the counter through the exit part of the queue due to the ladder. I ordered the city bird sandwich, fries, and a fountain drink. The fries were honestly amazing. The sandwich was ok. Nothing especially flavorful but not bad. I prefer the flavor of Chick-fil-A or Raising Canes. My wife said she liked it. I wouldn't say no if someone else wanted to go, but I wouldn't choose it myself.
