When I was younger I loved this restaurant it was pretty classic, but now in the modern age of this time it doesn’t look good nor taste good any more

Excellent spot for breakfast or dinner. Has a cool retro atmosphere inside with lots of bright colors. Dinner type food, with some Cajun items. Generally everything I've had here is not too greasy and is delicious. Service has been outstanding with very friendly waiters. There is a kid's menu, credit cards accepted, some times a wait for breakfast on weekends.

Great service, very polite service and follow up.. only thing..$$$ are too high...all breakfast is over $12.99...plus coffee for $2.79.. plus tax and tip. A party of four spends at least $70. Remember, your can buy a dozen eggs for $2.99.. bacon, sausage, taters, bagels, bread. All for less then $30 and feed eight.. Candy's is great, the food is great for a special occasion...but eating at home is going to save you $$$.

They have such a great menu for any time of day. I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese that came with a small salad. It was tasty! They also have a pretty big selection of pies/cakes too. Parking is a little difficult because their lot is small but there's some street parking nearby.

I had a very good brunch experience here at Cindy’s. The local diner was very clean, vibrant, and inviting. There were a lot of local options. The food was very fresh and had great flavor. I will definitely come back when I’m in town.

There quite a few retro-50s/60s diners:delis in LA that both locals and tourists frequent. Sadly, many are tired, unkept and unsanitary.Thankfully, Cindy's is not in those categories. The restaurant is spotless, with tables nicely manicured and the floors clean enough to eat off of. The menu is slight but covers all the important basis. Most importantly, the food is absolutely terrific, not to mention well priced. The roast chicken with mashed potatoes was prepared and seasoned like a home-cooked meal while the chopped spinach salad was filling, flavorful and not covered in cheap iceberg lettuce. Regretfully, we did not partake in one of their many pies.If you were visiting LA and only have a few days, do not miss this perfect retro diner.

Not only was the food very good, the service was exceptional. Waiters came to check on our table almost every 2-3 minutes. My friends got the Noah's ark (a basic breakfast platter), and the trip tip hash. I got the key lime pie but unfortunately forgot to take a picture of it because it was so good that I ate it too fast. Definitely will come back if I'm in the area again.

Small, classic diner with a lot of history and character. All the plates were very generous portions. Although there are many plates typical of a diner, the food was made in their own unique way. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. Service was prompt and courteous.

Great! We found this place just cruising down Colorado Blvd. So glad we stopped. The food is amazing and so are the pies. Definitely get the French toast, and try any of the pies. All made in house from what I'm told. I had the chocolate cream pie and definitely was not let down. Will go back again!

Okay it's good food but a bit overpriced and the wait staff can come off as rude. And c the dining room is so tiny. But the food is great.

This place should be considered a staple of the area. It's a beautiful buildings Ng and the servers always friendly and courteous. The food is good and considering it is a dinner, I will say very good. I would recommend the avocado toast bit everything I tried has always been good. If you come to this place make sure you come early otherwise... Waiting list

Simply amazing! A staple in design, quality and presentation. It was so wonderful to visit this gorgeous time warp to the 50’s. Bright orange couches and colorful green walls radiate with the colors and vibe you’d see in a classic diner film scene. Easily becoming one of our favorite spots! the food is so good we keep forgetting to photograph it, oh well maybe next time

I really enjoyed my time at Cindy's Restaurant. The place has an old school feel to it and very cozy. I found the place calm and very clean. The service was courteous and attentive. I would definitely go again probably for breakfast!

Questions & Answers

Not normally, but right now, they've turned a portion of their parking lot into outdoor seating with umbrellas.

I asked last night, and they said no gluten free bread yet. They are starting to offer gluten free deserts though. Their food and baked goods are really yummy!

Yes. They used multiple locations in Eagle Rock and Highland Park.
