Chowder Pot IV

Went for my birthday 7/22. Our waitress was the best. I wish I could remember her name. I always love going to this establishment. On this particular evening the wait time for a table was long so we ended up still at our table after the kitchen had closed. It was close to closing but the waitress was very good natured about it. She wasn't rude. She was very engaging. I would give her 5* I love the fried lobster tail. Our meals good portions. I had to bring mine home had it for lunch the next day. They had the best corn on the cob. I wish they would think about putting it back on the menu.

Very good food at very good prices. The prime rib sandwich is unbeatable in price and the fisherman’s platter is as good as it gets.

Good with a few issues. The lobster pot pie and fried calamari were excellent. The clam chowder was a little gritty... Need to be sure those clams are washed well. Overall though the food and service was good up until it took near twenty minutes to pay for the food. Not sure what happened but it was pretty ridiculous.

As always! Food and service was awesome! And it's not cause I was hungry. Oh there drinks are in point as well.

Large portions for the hungry person, and major carb overload. The sugar coated warm bread that came complementary at the beginning of the meal was a nice touch. My lazy crab casserole was a bit salty.

Our server was courteous attentive. The drinks were good. Our food arrived in a timely manner.

Fun atmosphere. Dinner rush was on! Very busy because of the game in Hartford. However, we were able to sneak in by the raw bar and dig in. New England clam chowder was thick, creamy and filling enough! Apps were generous. Friendly patrons and nice staff. Welcomed stop close to 95 when traveling.

I came here with a friend to try the Taste of Hartford menu after work. I'd recommend making a reservation, I'm not sure if it was so busy because of restaurant week or if it's usually like that, but people were definitely waiting. The food was was good. I got Rhode island clam chowder, blue crab casserole, and the cheesecake. The soup was really good, it had a fair amount of salt but I like salt personally. The crab casserole was also good with big chunks of crab. The stuffing was alright but I personally found it too buttery with too much bread. Our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. All the staff seemed to be friendly with a smile.The inside seems to be a little dated and needs some updates. Also make sure you drive around to the back since that is the main restaurant entrance.

You can always count on delicious food and yummy drinks. Our servers was very sweet, but made several mistakes with both our ordering and forgetting when we asked for something. This is rare, we still loved our visit!

I've gone here several times. Great place for sea food. Usually busy (because it is good). The wait usually isn't too long. ..

From the moment you enter that place team give you a great feeling. Very warm stuff, it is a kind restaurant to enjoy with buddies or with your date. very good cooking, professional chief cook and stuff, modest price and generous service. Highly recommended.

Passed by this location a few times. Today decided to stop in. We were seated quickly. Our server was great and friendly and attentive. Food was good. I will return.
