It is one of my best burgers restaurant in Grand Rapids. The food taste is exceptional, very homemade feeling, with fresh ingredients. Their shakes go very well with the burgers too. The interior space, although small (two tables + counters), is very cozy. I would just say it's probably not the best place to have a long conversation, as new costumers keep coming. The staff are very nice and funny at times.

Greetings Rick, I have always wanted to say something, but just too bashful. I eat there about every other month. The large air duct, above the Coke machine needs cleaning desperately. I look every time I eat there, but just doesn’t seem too important. Sorry to say, but makes me wonder what else doesn’t get cleaned with things I can’t see. I really hope that is all. I do regret, I don’t have the funds to eat there more often. The Good Comments, I really like your place . Your quite a personable guy. Kathy is pleasant to talk with also. I Hope your business will last long. Lastly , your food is good too. Wishing much success,

Small place BIG flavor! When I arrived I was the only one there a few minutes after the place was almost packed. The breakfast was delicious, definitely the best American fries I’ve had crispy buttery goodness. The staff and ambiance is very friendly. Staff is always moving making sure customers are being attended to. Also noticed everything being prepared was fresh not frozen

Awesome train themed diner! The burgers are phenomenal and the milkshakes are perfect. There's not a ton of seating, so definitely ideal for smaller groups (1-4 people). If I'm in the area and looking for lunch, this is it!!

We were passing through on our way to the UP when we were lucky enough to come across this gem. The grill was hot, the food was delicious, the server and fellow patrons were unmatched. We ordered breakfast and soaked in the history of the building. There were other customers wearing hats and even jackets representing the Choo Choo Grill. Definitely a very special place. Thank you for having us.

Vintage burger joint in a cozy & sweet historic building.Very friendly staff move a lot of malteds, meat, and onion rings to a packed room. Fabulous.
