Worth stopping in! My BF and I each had a roll, one with egg custard, the other with BBQ pork. 2 bucks and some change, can't beat it!

Decent place. The items had way too much pastry/bread than filling - such as the buns (bao) which had decent tasting pork. The Portuguese Egg Tart was great, that was the highlight of our food.

They are the best ever everyone was so cute and helpful. They deliver the cake and it is for free. They are the best part of my wedding!

I think it was actually Hong Hongese or Cantonese bakery. There were too many choices to try them all. I ordered red bean pastry, green bean pastry, lotus pastry and yolk pastry. Among them, I like red bean the most. Lotus was too sweet for me. I’m not sure what others were good, and it seems most of the reviewers had their own favorites...

Great place to get some Asian bread and pastry. We mostly come here to buy their BBQ pork buns, and their sweet breads, such as the custard filled or coconut filled breads with sugar crusts on top (which they call Pineapple crust)Their sausage bun and Egg tarts are pretty good too. All great deals and tasty. These breads are great for snacks, a light lunch or for us, breakfast and lunch for the kids the next day!

Plentiful and delicious Hong Kong style pastries of many types. My favorite includes the world famous egg tart, coconut turnover, custard bun, and the one that the store was most confident at: BBQ Pork Bun. Many of the pastries here were scrumptious and flavorful, especially the egg tart and the buns. I preferred the Portuguese egg tart to the regular egg tart as it was creamier and sweeter. The BBQ pork bun was genuinely outstanding as advertised. The fillings were BBQ pork, which was not too sweet like it was elsewhere but more savory, juicy, and tasty. Another advantage was that the pastries were sold at a very affordable price, much less than I expected to pay. However, this place was cash only. Undoubtedly this bakery was the best Chinese bakery in Chicago.

The breads here are delicious! We ordered the ham and cheese bun. The bread was so soft and fresh. It’s a cash only place, however, they do have an ATM inside if you don’t have cash. It’s a cute little quick stop place, or you can sit down and dine in.

Love this bakery! Always fresh and reasonably priced. They have tons of menu, from dimsum to cake. It is a cash only store, so bring cash when you stop by.
