This place was amazing. It had the best food and the staff was very nice. I really liked watching chopped and seeing the chef there and getting to be at his amazing restaurant. This food was the best comfort food I have ever ever ever had.

Amazing soul food 🤤 we got two plates of almost everything and it was all good. Potato salad was a little extra with the pickles/relish but it could have just been that batch.

This food was so good it literally put me to sleep. Gernous portions with fair pricing. I thought the friend chicken and Mac and cheese was very good. They offer discounts to UConn students, so definitely take advantage of that if you're a local student. Staff was friendly, I wasn't sure what to order and he quickly through out some combinations. Looking forward to visiting again.

If you're on the fence and reading the reviews, stop wasting your time and just go!More people need to know about Soul Tasty!!! My wife and I had the fried chicken, smothered pork chops, mac and cheese, and collard greens and everything was FANTASTIC. I'll def be going back to try the rest of the menu. I was going to take a picture but it didn't last that long.

Service was slow. Got like 8 shrimp for a meal costing $16. Side of mac & cheese and string beans. Not worth it.

Went in skeptical like any restaurant but I can honestly say the food was great. Mac and cheese is definately a hit. Ribs fall of the bone and tender, add their tasty sauce for a nice bbq kick. I will definately be back. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Will and Jean are the best!!!!!! Five stars well deserved

Was visiting for business nearby and came across this lil place of heaven

Love this place, fried chicken was my favorite. So full of flavor!! But the fried oreos is what really put the icing on the cake. I was in heaven! Too bad I live in NY or else I would be there everyday. Also service was excellent!!
