Chima Steakhouse named after chimarrao, a traditional drink of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, that symbolizes hospitality and friendship-certainly lives up to its name. Legend has it, in South Brazil traditional gauchos (cowboys) would consume a diet that consisted almost entirely of beef. The meat was seasoned, placed on skewers, and slow cooked over a wood burning flame. Historically, gauchos were known for their generosity and hospitality.

Called for a reservation at 8:45 they have a grace period for 15 minutes and I made it before then. There valet acted as if they did not see my car and went inside, I had to self park and when I got to the door the lady said it was closed knowing I had just called her letting her know that the valet did not take my car. This was a very special occasion, I go here every special occasion and they have let me down, I must seek another Brazilian place.

We came for Valentine’s dinner with friends. As always the food was fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The waiters are funny and always show up as soon as you turn your coin over. They do not have chicken or pork anymore, but did have small lamb chops if you enjoy those. The wine was very good and plenty to choose from. I love the salad bar. There’s so much to choose from and everything always tastes great. They are a little pricey, but the food is worth it. There was only one meat I did not like. My son has asked us to take him because he loves to eat any kind of steak. The only problem is that you end up so full and can get the meat sweats 😉Look forward to our next visit.

If you love lamb this is the place to eat. All the other meats are great but the lamb is our favorite. The salad bar has gourmet options with what seems to be homemade salad dressing. The Parmesan cheese chunks at the salad bar are excellent! The only gripe I have is when it's really busy and packed it is loud and not a personal private environment. So, if you're looking for a low key romantic date night this is not the best scene to do that. Unless they open up the upper floor. The seating upstairs is very nice and with street views. We've been on the upper floor on Valentine's Day and other than that it's usually closed when we visit. All in all the meat quality is great and service is always amazing.
