Chikarashi

About

Chikarashi offers a contemporary perspective on Hawaiian poké, influenced by Japanese chirashi, with flourishes of Korean and Chinese flavors. At the helm of this refreshing fast-casual concept is former Executive Chef of Neta, Michael Jong Lim, who has also refined his skills in the Michelin-starred kitchens of Masa, Aldea, and Aureole.

Pretty good poké; little to no seating most of the time. Not inexpensive and I mentally debate the cost-value ratio internally every time I go, but it's a good lunch I guess and they have dole whip softserve (haven't had it but people apparently love that stuff).

I came here after hearing this place had Dole Whip. I've never found a place in NYC that sold it. I've only had Dole Whip in Hawaii and in Disneyland/Disney World. When I came in, the staff greeted me and asked if I had questions about the menu which was helpful. I know they are relatively new but I appreciate the customer service. I ordered the Dole Whip and mango soft serve twist. It's not bad for $4 and they give you a generous portion. It's a bit creamier than the Dole Whip I've had but tasty. The poke bowls look good, maybe a bit pricey but I would come back to try them. Sadly, I had already eaten before I came there.

Reallllly like this place definitely will go back. My tofu was wayyyy too spicy for me though made my whole mouth and lips burn had to buy three bottles of water to help bc they didn’t have tap water. I would go back though and just ask for it not as spicy. Wish they had warned me.

Questions & Answers

Not explicitly, however, from my limited understanding of keto (one Google search), I believe the menu should offer at least some appropriate options.
