Chicago's Home Of Chicken And Waffles II

I wanted to write a review on Chicago’s Chicken n Waffle - Oak Park location giving them 5 stars. This wasn’t the first time I’ve been but the first time at this location and the entire experience was amazing!! From the time me and my mom walked in, we were greeted, our names were taken for a table and after about 20 minutes we were seated in a clean and roomy booth... great for a Sunday afternoon!! The server came promptly and introduced herself letting us know that she would grab waters and come back to take out order..and she did! We ordered and received our food in a great amount of time! Everything was fresh, hot and seasoned to perfection! The ambiance and decor was wonderful and the music that was playing gave the place a phenomenal vibe! This location will definitely be in heavy rotation for me and my friends!

I had the 3 piece wings, with 3 side including corn bread. The macaroni & cheese was delicious, and the greens and yams also. My boyfriend and I did order the peach cobbler to go. He loved it, it was ok but it was a little too sweet for just ate a few spoonfuls. I do recommend this place a 100%. Really cozy place to eat.

Slow service. Food was about average, but prices were above average. 17 bucks for 4 thighs, cheese grits and a beverage. Very nice decor. Took about 20 minutes or so for my food to come. A thank you for coming in would have been nice as I departed. Overall not bad

I'm from Milwaukee, WI. My family and I were in town for ladies night and we decided to come here for lunch before heading back home. There was 11 of us. So it took 30 minutes to get a table, then it took us 30 to get our food once we sat, but that food was worth the wait! Whoever made that food, cooked that food with love!! There was a piece of heaven in every bite!! I will definitely be going back again!!

Beautiful restaurant and very nice, friendly staff. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. When we were seated, we got ice water. The one and only time we got ice water. When our food arrived, I asked the server where was our iced tea? He snapped at me that he was making it. The food was adequate. Nothing to write home about. The berry waffles and sausage was not great. The strawberries were frozen, not fresh. And the waffles and sausage were tough. How one can make a waffle tough to cut is beyond me, but they managed. My guess is they're pre-made, then microwaved. We probably won't be back.
