Outstanding. Tuna cooked to total perfection, lightly blackened. But what was really outstanding were the crab cakes. Unlike any I’ve ever had. Why? They had crab in them and lots of it! No filler. A true crab cake. Not breadcrumbs and dressing, crab. Spinach casserole was great also. Really a pleasant surprise here as this was our first visit.

Amazing service! I ordered combination platter an respected the whitefish to be dry. It was great. Super flaky and moist throughout. Wait staff was excellent! Gluten free order delivered without any issues. Do not not hesitate to eat here.

Appetizers were amazing. Low boil seafood was not as seasoned as expected. It was very fresh tho. Red Hair On Fire cocktail drink was extremely tasty.

If you want the best seafood in county, you have to go to Chesapeake's. The seafood platter was fresh and well seasoned. The stuffed mushrooms were awesome. Fantastic home made dessert.

Great service. We had a large group come in for dinner. They had plenty of staff to take care of us. The staff was fun to talk with and they made good recommendations. Turns out that I really to like tomato jam on swordfish...who knew? The food was fresh and delicious.

Went here two days in a row as the seafood and service were both excellent. Ordered two dozen oysters on the 1/2 shell each night. One thing I would add would be a champagne vinaigrette for them in addition to the horseradish cocktail sauce but the oysters are excellent. I ordered Lobster the first night and steak and crab the second. I put this as a seafood restaurant but the 7oz. Fillet was among the top steakhouses I've eaten at. The service was very personable and the host Missy and server Dana were excellent.

I have Alpha Gal from a tick bite so no mammal or dairy. The kitchen manager came and talked to us. He was able to fix me exactly what I wanted the way I wanted it without cross contamination. He is amazing! If we were closer I would be a very frequent visitor!!! Thank you so much for your help and supper yummy food!

Questions & Answers

Downtown Chesapeake's has parking, and if full, there is a public parking garage right across Locust Street.

Best to call the restaurant to be certain but I think they do

No..

Not sure if they do . I would call and speak with a manager

40 years and I didn't know they had a patio.

They have steamed oysters sometimes but not always. Entrees are generally in the $20 to $30 range unless you get steak or lobster. Baked Oysters Chesapeake are excellent. My husband gets the Fried Seafood Platter. That's the only platter and you can get is broiled or fried. Love their food, personally.

Yes

Either place can. You will definitely have more parking at the west Knox location. Can't go wrong at either location as far as the food goes.

There are actually only 2 locations. The original downtown and a new one on Parkside. They are owned by the Copper Cellar group which owns several Calhoun's, Smokey Mountain Brewery, Cappuchino's, Copper Cellar's.... All good places to eat and drink.

Maryland lump blue crab, Old Bay seasoning, and im not sure whatelse. You may want to call to verify. They are just like the crab cakes my mom makes, and in addition to those 2 ingredients, she adds bread crumbs and a little Mayo to keep it together and bakes them.
