We came here for the tacos. And they were delightful. We arrived late morning on a Saturday and the lineups for food were not terrible. My only complaint if there's not a lot of spots to actually sit and eat your food. By the time we finished our tacos and had some lovely gelato the place was insane and I was happy to leave.

Wide variety of foods, Los Tacos and The Doughnutery were solid first time picks at Chelsea Market. Came in to the market with the expectation that it was going to be a heightened version of Reading Terminal market (it is not and does not have any food shopping stalls apart from a couple bread places). Has a lot of sit down restaurants in addition to food stalls, which is an interesting feature. Will have to come back to try the hand pulled noodle place.

I don’t think you can be in New York without visiting the Chelsea market! The place has a lot of styles to offer and the food is just great! We had a meal at the sea food area and it was amazing! It was not cheap, but it was basically fresh!Just go there :)

I don't know why I had never heard of this place before, it was really cool! Lots of independent shops with unique merch. Lots of artisan foods. The whole look and feel of the space is interesting, definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Note that not all the shops are open during the market's opening hours, some places open a little later.

Really excellent place to go for lunch. Many high quality options. We went for "Very Fresh Noodles", where they make the noodles to order! Fun to watch, delicious to eat. Very spicy options 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶! We took the train in, so good luck with parking. Google got us there no problem. Very crowded on the weekend.

After the High Line, the next logical stop is Chelsea Market. A lovely collection of stores, restaurants, and fine groceries. It's a very cute space, not too crowded with just enough seating. However, Adam and I visited in February, in the summer I'm sure it must be filled with people. We had a great time and I really recommend stopping here on an empty stomach because the options are endless!

Chelsea Market was a disappointment of my own making. When planning my visit, I found they were open until 2am so dropped in about 10:30pm on a Saturday night. I fully didn't expect any of the markets to be open but thought most of the restaurants would be. I think there were only three or four that were. I know this would be a fun place when in full action so that's why I still gave it 5 stars.

Such a fun and exciting place to be. A must visit if you're in the city. We took the subway here and it was just around the corner for the station. Some vendors open way late and the visitors seem to be there at all hours. Plan to hang around here for a couple of hours.

This old Nabisco Factory has been converted in to an indoor fixed food market along with some nice quality shops. There is a jewellery market at one end which is there all year round, perfect for gifts for everyone. There are public toilets downstairs also. You can find literally every type of cuisine here, even fresh donuts and a trendy wine bar.Allow around 2-3hrs to explore everything. Don't miss the Ice-cream bar near the jewellery market!

This is a great place to go anytime of the year. The place is indoors. And go with anyone -even if you're alone. There is always something for everyone. The place is always changing and expanding. And you'll learn or find something new every time. Walk the high line afterwards and it'd be an awesome date.

I love Chelsea market! Amazing food, sweets and fun and funky shops! I can’t wait to come back on a less busy day and stay for awhile and explore more of what there is to offer here! Great vegan options as well! (German tofu sausage, pretzel and fries. Vegan noodles and beyond sausage and seed + mill too)!

Really cool place for eats! There’s a good variety that caters to every palate - from the simple to the sophisticated. It’s similar to the “food markets” other big cities offer but of course, this has the NY vibe!

As some of the other reviews have said, this is a pretty trendy/hip place. This has caused some crowds, and maybe for the prices the go up throughout... BUT... It’s still a fun stop for a good meal from a new place, maybe grab something unique from a local artisan, and people watch. Heatonist in the basement is my favorite shop in the whole place for unique, delicious hot sauces, also really enjoy Package Free shop for some earth conscious products. The mini donut shop caps off a perfect afternoon or evening with a sweet treat. This is a GREAT place to go as part of exploring the meat packing district as a whole, it is not a “destination” type place that I would recommend traveling to JUST do Chelsea Market. But there’s a TON to explore in this neighborhood!

Cool shops and eateries. There are some great vegan options, but it does get busy and is a bit overwhelming. Overall a great place to check out if you are looking for something to do in the meatpacking area.

A great collection of food purveyors... and a clothing store? How long before it becomes an urban mall? Once a Claire's or Hollister opens, it will lose its charm. Guess the landlord needs the rent.
