Chef Moussa

My non-vegetarian family members and I loved the food and friendliness of who I presume was the owner. He was very patient and offered a lot of great suggestions to me once I said I was vegan. Everything vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free was clearly marked on the menu and there was several entrees marked as fully vegan with even more sides to choose from. Even in December, the side garnishing vegetables that I got with the falafel platter were fresh and incredibly delicious. We'll be back!

This is a family owned restaurant. Chef Moussa and his family are very friendly and treat you very well. The food is always freshly prepared, spiced just perfectly . The portion sizes are more than adequate. What I love the most compared to other Mediterranean restaurants in the area is that they serve you freshly prepared pita bread. It is made fresh when you order and is served piping hot with your meal ..what a treat. I have tried all the items on their menu and have never been disappointed. The serving size and quality is consistent every time I visit the place. For those who are health conscious, there are plenty of options to try. I love the “chef Moussa salad” (photo). It has definitely helped me lose weight

The guy that run this restaurant is always friendly and quick to help you find out more about the foods available.Great local restaurant .that’s working hard every day.

My wife and I just finished a delicious dinner with friends! The chicken was our favorite because of its seasoning, but everything was served timely, hot, flavorful and fresh! Oh, and homemade baklava, tough to beat! The meal was personally served by the owner - nice touch! We'll definitely be back!

So delicious! We order for lunch from work and pick it up. Always fast and great prices. Owner are so nice, Best Hummus I've ever had. Grapeleaves are my absolute favorite, garlic chicken sandwich and gyros are my co-workers favorites. Love it!

Chef Moussa fits this description perfectly. My food criteria is based on the following: Flavor, Freshness and Quality of ingredients. Chef Moussa checks all the boxes. We tried many of the items on the menu over the two days. Each and every food selection was just incredible in every criteria. Whatever menu item selection you chose, you will not be disappointed. Now you will gravitate towards certain menu items. Be adventuresome and enjoy the whatever the Owner recommends.

I was introduce to this place when some of my friends were giving it high praise as the best local place in Peoria. I came in with high expectations and those were blown out of the water. The food was authentic and amazing I would go there everyday if I had the time.

Very clean, very delicious, homemade pita hot from the oven, good sized portions, AND very friendly staff. Highly recommended. They also brought us a piece of fresh, delicious and authentic Za'tar which was on the house. So generous and nice of them.

Had some mixed shwarma and my wife had a beef shwarma pita. The beef was steak chunks of steak. It was phenomenal. The pita and hummus also amazing.

Delicious Vegan Mediterranean FoodNice little restaurant with very friendly staff. Food is delicious and they have several Vegan and Vegetarian options. Prices are very reasonable and service is prompt. The falafel is to die for. The Zattar Bread is wonderful.

The Greek salad with chicken on top was amazing! The pita bread and hummus is so yummy. The hummus has a nice flavor of lemon. It's SO Good! I can't quite pronounce what the last thing is but it is a traditional Lebonese dish with feta on top. It was also really really good. I will be coming back for sure!

Delicious food. I think this is my new favorite middle eastern restaurant in Peoria. Simple menu, clean place, friendly staff all are plus points. You order up front and the food is brought to your table. We were almost 25 people when we showed up to the restaurant without any notice. The person who runs it tried their best to accommodate us and didn't compromise in the food quality. We felt sorry to suddenly spring so many orders to them. They were still very friendly and accommodated us. Definitely visit this place 👍

Chef Moussa is hands down the best Mediterranean food in the area (even the country). The food is flavorful and always perfect looking. Nothing is overly salted. I always get the mixed shawarma and it is delicious. The pita bread is always hot and home made. Chef is warm and greets you with a smile. I feel like he's part of my family.
