Fresh bread and rolls. Counter ladies are friendly....however the store was dingy and full of men talking, and not buying anything. I guess it’s more like a local meeting place that sells baked goods.

Wonderful full bodied self serve coffee reasonably priced. You can also put cinnamon in it. Some Portuguese groceries. Fresh rolls and pastries. European cafe atmosphere sit and socialize if you like. Has a big biz for* breakfast sandwiches reasonably priced made to order*. The loveliest beautiful sweet kind ladies of all ages behind the counter.

This is a classic place to get all of your bakery goods. We always get their sweet rolls for thanksgiving.

Chaves on Madison is a reliable spot to get your bacon egg and cheese fix. It’s not the most delicious BEC, but it’s good and reasonably priced. Plenty of places to sit and read the paper. The ladies are friendly and they have a wide variety of bread and pastries. I would give them 5 stars if their coffee simply tasted better and they would step up their BEC game. Coffee is usually left too long on the burner so it tastes like mud. But, if you’re in a rush and would rather not spend a fortune, this is your place.

Friendly but I find it hard communicating exactly what I want due to their native language of Portuguese ..

Left disappointed n empty handed. Items looked old n place uninviting n stinky.

Great family owned bakery prices are good for breakfast sandwiches and coffee and it's always nice and clean
