I'm starting to like Chatime less and less. The first time I had it was in Taiwan, and it was quite good with fresh ingredients and a low price.Here? The ingredients are powdered and expensive. Their small drink size is more expensive than the large sized bubble tea at Orange Corner!I even saw a video on YouTube showing they the small and large size is basically the same volume. Disgusting. The customer service was sedentary, but I was a bit disappointed when their scanner was conveniently "out of order". That was the only way of getting the most of what you pay. By getting reward points. Even more of a turnoff, they fitted all the bubble tea I ordered into a plastic bag (not environmentally friendly at all) and it spilled EVERYWHERE. did I mention it was HOT?Even with the 25% deal off some drinks, it was well over $23 just for 4 drinks, whereas I could have ordered at least 1 more from Orange Corner or even bubble world.

The drinks are good, and there are a lot of flavors and toppings to choose from. The pearls are kind of bland, but that might be better for someone who prefers their toppings less sweet.

Ordered 2 matcha green tea bubble teas here today, what I received was literally water. Not only was my bubble tea tasteless, I felt like I was drinking iced water with milk. In addition, when I was trying to redeem a birthday drink for one of my drinks the system was conveniently “down” and said “maybe it’ll be up tomorrow”. After drinking my 0 taste matcha bubble tea I went back to complain only to be received not ONE apology but just a drink remade. I never heard one apology or a goodbye when I left. I’m super disappointed as the Chattime quality seems to get lower and lower- time for a revamp and train your staff again. I’d rather go to any of the many bubble tea stores on Kerrisdale.
