Chateau of Spain Restaurant

My most popular lunch/Dinner time place. Great food, nice specials, and a chill environment. Aand I can't say enough about the gang of great bartenders! Best drinks, best made, best effect... Go Chateau!

I think the name "Chateau" sets expectations too high. It's a very good restaurant, but I was expecting just a little more. Staff was nice, but I waited over 10 min for check. Food was great, but flavors could have had just a little more pop. Ambiance was great. Very lively. Price for quantity was excellent.

I feel so ashamed that I never knew about this restaurant despite me being a longtime native of Newark. But luckily, my grandmother decided to take me here for my birthday and it was quite a pleasant experience for me. The food menu had quite an exquisite variety, the atmosphere in the restaurant itself was so relaxed, the staff is friendly, and the food itself is very delicous. I now always make it a necessity to come to Chateau of Spain everytime I come to Newark and would have no problem at all recommending everyone else to visit here as well.

Great lobster seafood soup. Ok paella. Service got better when other staff started helping. We've been here before, this time not as good as before.

Old place still standing and as beautiful as it can be! The food was great and also the prices. I didn't know it was still around!

This is one of my favorite restaurants ever in Newark ,Nj .. a must go to! Service is always good and they are very professional! The food are to die for ! I love it .. my favs are their steak tacos , fried chicken, garlic shrimps and pork chops ! The list could go on but y'all get the point ! I recommend everyone should go and try it out .

Very good spanish, food 2 of our 3 plates were very delicious. They need to improve their paella valenciana, lots of room for improvement. The salmon was delicious. The stuffed jumbo shrimp also very good...service was on point.

Today is my sister birthday and I ordered from her favorite restaurant, favorite dish garlic shrimp thank you it was great. a light shine thru this darkness surrounding us thank you again

Was my first time eating here and was a good experience. We had a large group as we were celebrating a birthday, so we were seated on the 2nd floor. Nice ambiance, vibe and decor in the restaurant. The staff is very personable, attentive and helpful. Once we placed our orders, the food & drinks came out pretty quickly. A friend and I split an order of calamari, which was good. We all order a few pitchers of sangria for the table and those were pretty good. For my main course, I ordered the Stuffed Salmon (stuffed with crabmeat) with the Saffron Rice and Vegetables as my sides. The Stuffed Salmon was really good! I'm glad I ordered it. Also, the portion sizes we're huge! I definitely wasn't able to eat all the salmon there. Overall, good food & dining experience. Would recommend and go there again.

My daughter's wedding was there, had a great time and the food was very good.

Love the Crowd and the Atmosphere, it can be warm and romantic or business oriented upstairs in the second floor dining room. Downstairs is like cheers everyone knows your name, wait staff and bartenders are super friendly. Overall, it's just a good time.Have fun...
