Char Steak House

Uppish Steakhouse.. very good and attentive service. Quite a few bells and whistles are presented.. the portions are pricey but generous as well. Nice selection of wines.. worth a try.

Cowboy ribeye is always good. One of the few places to get Pittsburgh (black and blue) right. The short rib gnocchi is also very good.

Great find of restaurant! Food was very good. Lobsters even in November were very fresh and cooked perfectly. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. The restaurant decor is mixed with modern and classic. Some weird features like a waterfall and an open flame fireplace. I would have kept the fire place and gotten rid of the waterfall it is after all the Char House. I would go there again.

Phenomenal service and food. I attended a work party here and was very impressed as this was my first time at Char. The ambiance is very chic and relaxing. The jalapeno fries are honestly some of the best fries I have ever had, and they have a good selection of gluten free items. The servers were courteous and on top of our orders. My wine would get low and before I ran out there would be a server topping me off. I feel like the best level of service is when they know you are about to finish your drink and beat you to it with a refill. I hope the regular restaurant service is as good as what they did for our large private party because I am now planning to take my Dad here for his birthday! The only minor issue I noticed was the coat check girls had major problems finding some people's coats which is bizarre because there are numbers. Aside from that I had a wonderful evening.

Service was top shelf. Menu lots of good choices. The noise was far to loud for the price of the meal. Also, our wagyu beef was surprisingly fatty, but tasty. The food was not hot. The popovers were a highlight.

Excellent dishes from appy to desert. Party of four and each had different steak. You know the meal is good when everyone goes quiet from non stop conversation and enjoys their food.

Filet was so good. Large group and all food was very good. I will return. Thanks for great evening.

After almost 5 years of coming here semi regularly for dinner, this is hands down my favorite restaurant. Steaks are phenomenal and the sides and apps are always top notch. Moved to Florida recently and came back for the weekend and stopped in with some family tonight and the waiter turned out to be our waiter from 6 months ago and he remembered my drink and steak order, SUPER IMPRESSIVE!
